Bravo, #Slovenia!
The Republic of Slovenia is the first European country to ban the export, import, and transit of military weapons and equipment to and from #Israel.

From the beginning, we were clear: if the EU is not able to adopt concrete measures by mid-July, we in Slovenia will act on our own. And today we did just that.

People in Gaza are dying because humanitarian aid is being systematically blocked. They are dying under the rubble, without access to drinking water, food, or basic medical care. This is a total obstruction of humanitarian access and a deliberate denial of basic conditions for survival. In such circumstances, it is the duty of every responsible country to act—even if it means being the first to do so.

Slovenia will always stand on the side of international law and human rights.

In the coming weeks, Slovenia will prepare additional measures against the conduct of the Israeli government, which constitutes serious violations of international humanitarian law.

What's going on with Firefox?

Second try, shorter and less confusing than before:
* DNSoverHttps interfering with my DNS block
* shown to be enabled in about:policies
* set to disabled in policies.json as well as in about:settings.

The picture shows a console window witch the respective policies.json key being set to false (disabled), while the about:policies firefox page in the background shows DoT to be enabled.

Version is 140.1.0esr on Artix (Arch). Anyone can confirm?

Edit: It's not a broken profile; same happens in a fresh one.

in reply to Comrade Ferret

@Comrade Ferret Take this one for example, near the top of the recommended articles right now.

I should note that it's impossible not to go down a rabbit hole on this site, because it has so many in-line links that make you think you'll be taken to a source, when it's just more unsourced articles on their own site with only the flimsiest relation to the linked text.

The article is about young people supposedly paying for fortune telling and such is on the rise (because imagine that; surely that would never happen in any civilized western country), and further says:

North Korea’s Criminal Law Article 291 (Superstitious Practice Crime) states that “those who engage in superstitious practices shall be subject to labor training punishment,” and “those who habitually engage in superstitious practices or cause serious consequences through superstitious practices shall be subject to labor reform punishment of up to 5 years. In serious cases, they shall be subject to labor reform punishment of 5 to 10 years.”

You can fact-check this really easily, and it shows how Daily NK works. Yes, there is a code in the DPRK's criminal law titled "Acts of Superstition". And if you just glance at it, you might go, wow, it's real — until you actually read what it says:

A person who engages in acts of superstition after receiving money or goods shall be sentenced to a term of short-term labour of less than 1 year. In cases where a person has taught several people acts of superstition or has caused grave consequences due to acts of superstition, he or she shall be sentenced to a term of reform through labour of less than 3 years. In grave cases, he or she shall be sentenced to a term of reform through labour of more than 3 years and less than 7 years.

Entirely different from what Daily NK is claiming. For one thing, most obviously, the sentencing is far lower, but far more importantly: This is a law against the grifters and not the people who buy from them. But try not to draw attention to the fact that the DPRK actually punishes people who prey on the insecurities and gullibility of certain workers for profit and cause harm in doing so; can't make the country look too based, now, can we?

If I kept reading this slop, all I would ever end up doing is exactly this: Going, "I know that can't be real," and then spending my time and energy cross-referencing it, and then probably fighting and most likely failing the urge to make a miffed post about it in hopes that it'll convince at least one person to think more critically about this propaganda.

I don’t remember where I found this chart, but I keep it for myself to refer to, and wanted to share it with others.

Binders need to be talked about so much more. They need to be taken with any detox you might do. They act as a magnet to the toxins released during the detox to be shuttled out of the body instead of bogging down the liver and lymphatic system. Tummy issues? Reach for some activated charcoal.

Those of you who have used any of these, please chime in with positive or negative so others can gain knowledge. Do note that any binder needs to be taken two hours after you eat and several more hrs away from medication or supplements. Binders can strip nutrients, so they are not meant for long periods of time.

The problem I've found with Christian thinking is that their unending belief that their sweetness will vanquish Evil isn't going to work.

As though an enemy with no qualms about anything will be converted to their way of being, somehow, because they're not a demon, they're misunderstood and unloved.

"My inexorable march forward to destiny has been thwarted by your Sunday morning sophistry. I am saved!"

Instead of entrusting the defence of your interests to others, see to the matter by yourselves. Instead of trying to choose advisers that will guide you in future actions, do the thing yourselves, and do it now! Men of good will shall not have to look long in vain for the opportunity. To put on others' shoulders the responsibility of one's actions is cowardice.
