Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle — under fire over the Pennsylvania assassination attempt against President Trump — won’t have her top-level security clearance renewed, The Post has learned.

The Secret Service decided not to extend Chealte’s clearance after opposition from Republicans in Congress, namely Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.).

“Director [Sean] Curran has been modernizing the intelligence apparatus within the agency,” a spokesperson told The Post.

in reply to YoungBlood

“During that process, he has determined that not all former directors will have their clearances renewed.”

The decision to end Cheatle’s security clearance came after RealClearPolitics inquired about Johnson’s opposition to renewal, claimed the outlet, which was the first to report the change.

Johnson, who helms the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations, had probed the Secret Service’s failures leading up to the Trump assassination attempt in Butler, Pa.

The word "terrorist" is fraught, but by its own standards, the Israeli government is by terrorists, for terrorists.

In 2007, Itamar Ben-Gvir was convicted in an Israeli court of incitement to racism and support for a terrorist organization. He is now the security minister of Israel.

When IDF soldiers and settlers kill civilians, it's never a mistake. It's the plan.

This is a jank B-tier Souls on UE5 with some bad bits but some fun bits. Deluxe edition lets you be pic related without having to clear an obtuse quest on a first run to unlock this nigga on a second so you probably want it just for that.

It's below LoP and AI Limit in quality but it is charming. Several play sessions infuriated me into quitting multiple times but I kept coming back to the game unlike Wuchang which I am NEVER going to play again unless they ALSO spend two years updating the game like nu-LotF did. The two years of work on this game makes it probably the best optimized UE5 game you're ever going to see, and also has really tight, refined combat mechanics even if the stages and enemy variety will leave you with some complaints.

You sprint like a football player, you have basically the dodge from Lies of P and the parry system from it too but with less emphasis, so it has a similar skill level and decent reward but doesn't overpower the game but you also got third person shooter aiming for spells and ranged weapons. It has all the Souls systems but with a good feeling that the west used to be good at.

Lefty university professors of litrachoor love to sneer about genre fiction as "formula fiction."

A lefty university professor won the Pulitzer Prize for best novel this year for this, which is about as formulaic and derivative and trite as it is possible to imagine.

I asked the prices for his photos and the cheapest are £25k.

This is not unusual, it's the west end, they are limited editions of 2 or 3.

But there's something a bit off with images of people - often regular people - protesting, then the photo is sold for £25-50k.

In the spirit of people power and solidarity, I think some inexpensive posters or a book of the exhibition that most people can afford would be a thoughtful thing to do.

President Trump courageously plans nuclear war to prevent release of Trump-Epstein files

The most rational and well-balanced US president ever, Donaald Trump, is making exciting plans to start nuclear war with Russia to prevent the release of the Epstein files.

In a social media post that was so serious it contained relatively few grammatical errors, Trump announced that he has positioned two nuclear submarines close to Russia

Why hasn't this made more national news? I only see articles in Vermont media?

"A gay Vermont school superintendent says he was detained, separated from his husband, and subjected to hours of abusive questioning in Texas by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers while returning from a trip to Nicaragua "

“They falsely stated that I, a U.S. citizen, have no constitutional rights at a point of entry"

Commenting on what he calls the "sweetheart deal of the century, David Pepper writes about how a deal was made in the Epstein case in 2007, with Alex Acosta acting as US attorney before Trump made him Secretary of Labor in 2017 — a deal that the 'United States also agrees that it will not institute any criminal charges against any potential co-conspirators of Epstein.'”

That deal potentially lets ALL of Epstein's co-conspirators off the hook. Pepper says,

"Of all the people he could have chosen, why would Donald Trump handpick the very U.S. Attorney who negotiated such a scandalously sweetheart deal—which benefited not just Epstein, but anyone who might be worried that they may be considered a 'potential' Epstein co-conspirator then or in the future—to become his Secretary of Labor?"

Our imaginations are inherently limited; they can’t include all details at once. (Otherwise you run into Borges’ map problem—if you want a map that contains all the details of the territory that it’s supposed to represent, then the map has to be the size of the territory itself.) Unpacking is a way of re-inflating all the little particulars that had to be flattened so your imagination could produce a quick preview of the future, like turning a napkin sketch into a blueprint.

Always a bridesmaid, never a bride. Maybe just make the guy the City Manager.
"City Management Updates
Chelsea has chosen an Interim City Manager, Marc Thompson, who has been actively engaged in the role of “Interim City Manager” since he retired from Ottawa Hills, Ohio in 2019. He was hired twice to fill interim roles in the City of Ann Arbor, served as Interim City Manager for the City of Fraser, and also served as Interim Township Manager for Scio Township. He will begin working with the City after his contract approval in August, and it is anticipated that he will remain in his role until the end of the year, when the new City Manager is expected to be thoroughly vetted and fully established in their role."

Arrest Them All.

"The Office of Special Counsel has launched an investigation into Jack Smith for possible violations of the Hatch Act.

Jack Smith was appointed as Special Counsel in 2022 by Joe Biden’s Attorney General Merrick Garland to investigate Trump just one day after Trump announced his 2024 bid for the White House.

The Office of Special Counsel opened the investigation after Senator Tom Cotton earlier this week sent a letter alleging Jack Smith’s actions politically harmed Trump during the 2024 election."
