With one million residents it has a housing crisis and lack of public toilets as well, with not only conservative hysteria but all expect us on the big mean far left calling for more police presence for issues such as drug use, instead of harm reduction and social programs

Leftist, anti-fascist activists have got to begin making more of an effort to educate themselves about the spyware capitalist tech that they insist on continuing to use. From Substack, gmail, twitter, facebook to youtube, etc. At least make the effort to use and encourage others to use the alternatives. This is a "contract with America" style idea. The Republican party used the contract with America when they were a minority party to re-energize their base and define who they were (eg. horrible, but some people like that?)
The thing about a Contract or Party Pledge is you get EVERY (or almost every) member to pledge to do something significant that people care about:
* No more stock trading * Contribution Limits eg. end to special interests

There have been numerous reports about #Gaza-related scams hitting social media. Take them with caution, and seek for evidence. Leaving a scammer account up is as bad as taking a legit account down, by reporting, just because you think it "might be" a scam.
I do not donate larger amounts to campaigns of individuals. Larger amounts go to long-standing aid organizations with a positive reputation.
I may be scammed by individual scammers for smaller amounts, sometimes without even learning about it, afterwards. I'm taking the loss, reporting both the accounts on the respective social media server, and their campaigns on the respective fundraising platforms.
I'm reminding you of my recommendation, above: Taking offense at somebody merely for asking for donations is not ok. It erodes any form of mutual aid. Looking for verification, and stopping to promote somebody's posts when you see evidence of fraud, is the thing to do.
