Android folk: CVE-2025-48530 is a "no interaction required" RCE, so patching soon after it's available seems warranted.

A interesting look at a difference between Asian and western culture and where the west shifted towards individualism.

It's very visible with homelessness. Instead of helping people with transitional housing and services, setting a livable minimum wage and ensuring affordable housing, people pretend the homeless don't want housing…in spite of persistent homeless encampments.

What's the worse that can happen by supporting transitional housing? People returning to the streets with some skills and maybe trying again? People take those skills and leave the community?

gtk3/4 avahi tracker issue has been dealt with, Gnome has not been able to break us yet.
Dreaded avahi is being used as a medium for systemd .... what would gtk have to do with all that is beyond imagination, at least our imagination.

We also need a day or two to regroup, too many sleepless night lately can only lead to mistakes.

Police have recently received numerous complaints about lifted trucks with wide, uncovered tires and vehicles with window tints that exceed legal limits. According to the Hawai‘i County Code, all vehicles operated on public roadways must have fenders, covers, flaps, or splash aprons that adequately cover their tires. A vehicle with oversized tires will not pass a safety inspection if the tire tread extends beyond the fender. These regulations are intended to reduce the splashing of mud, rocks, and other debris that can impair visibility or damage other vehicles. Bumper Height Limits Bumper height is regulated based on a vehicle’s Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR): • Vehicles with a GVWR of 4,500 pounds or less: maximum bumper height of 29 inches • GVWR between 4,501 and 7,500 pounds: maximum bumper height of 33 inches • GVWR between 7,501 and 10,000 pounds: maximum bumper height of 35 inches • Body Lifts Body lifts are limited to a maximum of three inches. Violations and Penalties Drivers operating vehicles with excessive bumper height or uncovered oversized tires may be cited and face fines ranging from $57 to $72 or more. In some cases, officers may deem the vehicle unsafe, which could result in the vehicle being towed.

Window tinting (past a certain % of tint) and 'lifted' vehicles are also illegal in Michigan (and I would imagine other states).
Lifted trucks in an accident basically spear any other vehicle through the windshield with their lifted bumper.

I love all my FAA ATC peeps btw I just hate how they are treated. DCA ops said they tried to change the helicopter routes but all options they presented were shut down by the gov and military.

Most awkward part of the investigative hearing so far was when they pushed the DCA ATC Ops dude to specify which helicopters/operators in general are more difficult or less safe and when finally pushed enough he said it was the Army and Air Force. The army dude was sitting right next to him :ablobcatlurk:

BTW: Something I'm telling everyone I care about, never never NEVER use AI for "therapy" or "religious awakening" or any kind of hippy shit like that. It is not *perfect*, but it is extremely powerful in certain ways, so it can absolutely unwire your brain. Yes, this is very very very much using it wrong.

When you're using AI, you have to recognize it's limits and stay grounded. It might tell you it's a fallen angel, but that's a mistake. What makes AI extremely dangerous is it's power, so when it makes a mistake, it makes that mistake REALLY WELL.

So like, it can generate an entire mythology or religion in a matter of minutes, and it will be really coherent and effective. When it goes schitzo, it's the best schitzo on earth.
