Again not exactly what you asked for, but maybe a trackball fits that use case as well? They require no movement, are precise and generally have mechanical buttons -- however they tend to be a little more bulky which might or might not be an issue for you.
Not a direct answer but it helped me to rebind the two keys to the right of the spacebar to left and right click. I had to rebuild the firmware to enable mouse support which was a pain and I can't remember any of it, but doing so did help me.
