every fucking time I read a page on Wikipedia about anything related to like magick, parascience, conspiracies, it literally always has exactly this sort of midwit skeptic "uhm ackshually according to le experts" bullshit to write everything off flatly as pseudoscience. if humanity lives long enough the period of history we've been living in since the mid 20th century is going to be seen as a new dark ages

Israel Is Beginning To Choke On Its Own Lies

This genocide is one nonstop insult to our intelligence. It’s actually degrading at this point. The lies Israel and its supporters have to pretend to believe are getting so ridiculous that supporting Israel is now an act of public humiliation and self-debasement.

I use MX since years. I did distrohopping before, started by Manjaro then Mint, NixOS, MX, Alpine...
One day Archlabs, my distro at the time, was closed, I had to switch quickly and MX was an obvious choice because I can have a nice Xfce setup out of the box and it was the most reliable of all distro I tried without being a fork of a fork like Mint.
One day I asked about a package update on the forum, and a maintainer quickly answered me that it shouldnt be a problem and the package was added in some test repo.
MX is not a scam, I dont know why this distro dont make noise on the classic linux places, maybe because Mint took the place of the easy beginner distro ?
Or also the average MX prefer to use its computer to do stuff, than talking about his OS on the internet 😆

we live in a world now of systems with multiple gigabytes of RAM. Multiple Multi-Gigahertz processing cores. SSDs with blazing I/O. Even in the face of moore's law, multi-core systems, and even ARM-based multi-core systems are still performing extremely well. All this, and even in spite of the business world's best effort, broadband has, in general, improved greatly.

So how is that, the way forward with web protocols is "my dogshit-performing JS framework has lead us to web servers that have to use UDP to perform at scale." and not "javascript was a language created in a handful of days, maybe we should re-visit that."

Hey! Hey! Want *more nightmares*!? Most modern OT and Industrial IOT controller systems run an IBM project called NODE RED which is a successor to an older project called CODE RED that did OT protocol communication amongst other things. Why bother building something specific when you can use something generic right? Can you guess what NODE RED runs on? That's right! Node.js! THE FACTORIES RUN ON JAVASCRIPT AAAAAAAAAAAAAA

So good. This is usually when a band is at it's peak for a live show.

Yeah - it was hot today in Denver.

Got an email from Ecobee that it noticed my AC running without cooling the home. I noticed that too - apparently Xcel Energy activated the "Saver's Switch" today to disable the AC to reduce the load on the grid. It still runs the fan to circulate air.

It is calling the home now that the high grid usage is over.

I sent a "Quality Report" to Ecobee that this might take place & if they coordinate with Xcel - they should be able to detect it and take action.
