Back again for a massive Gosuki 1.2.0 release, a multi-browser real time bookmark manager.
I posted about this project a month ago and had very positive feedback. Many users asked for multi-device sync so now Gosuki offers two methods to automatically synchronize your bookmarks across devices. Integration/import from other self hosted bookmark managers is in the works.
This is a project I have been writing on and off for the past few years. It aggregates your bookmarks in real time across all browsers/profiles and external APIs like as Reddit and Github.

A single binary with no dependencies or browser extensions necessary. It just work right out of the box.
Multi-browser: Detects which browsers you have installed and watch changes across all of them including profiles.
Use the universal ctrl+d shortcut to add bookmarks and call custom commands.
Tag with #hashtags even if your browser does not support it. You can even add tags in the Title. If you are used to organize your bookmarks in folders, they become tags
I have a question regarding the comparison table: I tried to draw some inspiration for new 42links features from it, but I don’t really understand why shiori (a similar software) only has a yellow dot for its tag support. I mean, shiori has its own set of bookmarks and doesn’t really care about what the browser supports, or do I misunderstand the inner workings of Gosuki here?

It relates to automated detection and merging of tags without any manual intervention.
For Chrome based browsers and many others, there is no native support of tags. With Gosuki you can hit ctrl+d, add some #tag and that's it. It will be merged with the database. If it already existed, say from an other browser, the tag will be added.
In other terms you may have the same bookmarks across many browsers and profiles and they will all end up in a single consistent state.
All of this is handles in real-time as if you had a browser extension installed in every browser / profile.

Il occupe 75% de Gaza, mais il rejette la responsabilité de tout ce qui s'y passe sur un Hamas devenu l'ombre de lui-même. Il ne veut pas qu'on parle « d'occupation » pour éviter d'endosser le rôle de l’occupant et la responsabilité de nouveaux crimes de guerre.
Mais il n’y a pas plus de « guerre » qu’il n’y a de « forces arabes » prêtes à gérer Gaza. Il y a un État colonial engagé depuis des décennies dans la conquête de territoires et qui, depuis 672 jours, transforme les villes en déserts et déplace méthodiquement les populations en préparant leur déportation.
Il y a déjà 61.000 victimes, selon les chiffres du ministère de la Santé de Gaza, que des études considèrent comme étant sous-estimés d’environ 40%, et qu'Israël conteste sans jamais fournir les siens.
Il y a des causes de plus en plus variées à ces décès. Aux missiles largués sur des maisons et aux explosions ciblées par drones, se sont ajoutés le manque de soins et d'eau, la malnutrition, les tirs de snipers dans les files de la Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, les maladies liées à la pollution et à la concentration de centaines de milliers de personnes dans quelques dizaines de kilomètres carrés... Et désormais, les bagarres au couteau pour un sac de farine, les largages « d'aide humanitaire » et les camions de vivres qui écrasent des affamés…
L'occupation est un nouveau coup destiné à forcer l'enlisement. « Je veux que le monde s’ennuie de Gaza », répète #Netanyahu selon des journalistes.
Mais deux millions d'êtres humains sont encore vivants, et une petite part d'immeubles encore debout. Aux portes de Gaza, il y a de la nourriture, de l'eau, du carburant et des produits médicaux. Et un système d’aide internationale qui, jusqu’en mars, assurait encore un minimum de soins et de dignité, et ne demande qu’à reprendre.
Il n'y a pas de « guerre ». Il y a un massacre. Et un assassin, qu'il faut empêcher de commettre ses prochains faits accomplis.

I've been trying to keep a more open mine lately. The weighted random word/code generators have mostly just seemed like shitty toys that accidentally get things "right" 80% of the time and suddenly people trust them as oracles.
At the same time I have two engineers who swear by making entire huge chunks of code with them. One just switched to the $100 plan of Claude Code and has multiple streams going.
I'm still using the $10 IntelliJ plan. There were some things with zero documentation it got mostly right, or at least enough of the way I could finish them (specifically OpenGL rendering between mpv and Qt6 using QOpenGLWidget. The only existing examples were for QQuick). I plan on testing out Claude Code soon.
But I don't like the way some people are just churning out all this slop code without understanding it, and it's especially insane with Lawyers trying to use it and not even verifying entirely made up legal cases. I also hate ready most top results before 2020 because it's all obvious AI generated slop.
I don't think LLMs are going away, but there is certainly a bubble that needs to pop. I wonder if we'll see some of those $300,000 4U units on eBay for $3,000 in 8 years. Local LLMs might be a more sustainable future.

I got a few minutes allowed in an A320 simulator (the real thing with hydraulics they use for training airline pilots). The instructor was sitting back of me giving me directions. Upon landing, at touchdown he says to level, we touched down. I says it feels too high. He says remember you are 40 ft off the ground, this is not a small Cessna. Plasma is nuts, it's customizability is wonderful. I just spent a few hours last week redoing my layout and theming with a gruvbox feel for my desktop system. I named the configuration gruvfox.

Our area transit authority just shifted from using physical bus passes to doing everything from an app on riders' phones. That was last week. Today we got sent an email advising us to open the app and have the pass ready before getting to the bus stop, because of "spotty" cell service in some areas making it difficult to open the app & retrieve the pass. You know what didn't need cell service to work properly? The little plastic pass they just got rid of. Idiots.

@Emmanuel Florac I should note that since I view bicycles as one of man's more important inventions, I would rather share the road with these vehicles, more quickly than with cars.
If these vehicles ever become a thing, I see them selling for about the price of an inexpensive scooter, say around 3500 Euros. I love bicycles more though but in a more perfect world things like these could become hits.
@Carter Braxton yes in countries with good cycling routes such as Denmark and Netherlands, cycling is way better than driving for all short errands (up to 5 / 10 km depending upon your health, age, and rain).
@Emmanuel Florac I use my bicycles exclusively and I grew up in New York. However, I've managed to survive in a car dominated society but I do envy the Danes and the Dutch for their foresight in that context.
