I'm in the process of #midlifecrisis though I am way past the age of what will prove to be my mid-life.
I wonder how many people's lives turn out as they expected?
An impetuous decision in my early thirties turned my life upside down. I became so bogged down by the consequences, I didn't plan for the long term, just 'survived' each day. Now, so many years later, I don't recognise myself.
Only I can change the situation, I know. It's just I'm exhausted. (🎻🎻 🎻 )

I married someone I met on holiday.
We couldn't spend a great deal of time together beforehand due to distance (Me: Darlington, Him: Indianapolis) so I jumped in with both feet. HUGE mistake. Emotionally and financially.

Most people I hang with don't believe in free will but I do.
I don't know how to talk about changing one's life in the absence of free will.

If you need a kick in the arse I wonder if that could come by visualizing a better you and then figure out what the steps would be to get there (assuming free will?)
Anyway, I did that starting Jan. 1 of this year and I am so much happier now: joyful!
