I agree with you on the moral principle. My counter to it is that I don't like the thing that's being sold, so I don't buy the thing that is being sold. Porn is bad in general, sure. So I don't consume it.
But being governed by a marriage of corporate overreach and government overreach is not a good thing.

I think realistically, the thing here is that it’s just being executed extremely poorly. Much like the war on drugs, the true issue is with the supply and not the consumption. The consumption is more akin to a disease, still not good to have around, but not entirely the conscious fault of the afflicted usually. The best way to deal with this would be to not use payment processors and instead deal with the producers. This kind of thing just drives them underground.

Random thought, but I believe it's worth saying. People don't get to declare themselves allies of a marginalized community that they are not a part of, that title is earned.
Some of that stems from my own negative self image, low confidence. But I find a point in it too. Actions speak louder than labels.
That's the main reason I don't have tags like BLM, "Indigenous Ally", "BIPOC Ally" in any bio. Feels disingenuous if I'm still learning so much, no matter how strongly I feel or consider myself "on their side".

We got The Bride's backstory of dealing with history's worst incel, which was only made a touch better by knowing she at least got to dress like a fabulous icon throughout the ages.
