Germany’s “never again” pledge should carry weight given its deeply genocidal history. Yet it rings hollow when the country’s dominant outlets launder or supply propaganda to legitimise mass killing in Gaza. This is not journalism in the service of truth – it is journalism in the service of violence. Breaking this cycle would require a serious reckoning with the editorial cultures and political loyalties that have enabled German journalism to be weaponised in this way.

The killing of journalists in Gaza makes one thing painfully clear: Israel does not want a record to be left. When the history of this genocide is written, there will be chapters on the media’s role. Germany’s section will be uncomfortably large. No one should claim they didn’t see it happening."

ANYTHING you say may be held against you and used to silence you. Your intent does not matter.

You don’t need to lie, threaten, or even be rude. All it takes is for a person, a police officer, or an authority to claim your words made them feel “alarmed” or “distressed.”

Truth won’t protect you. You can post something accurate, sourced, and backed by official reports and still be accused of online harassment.
If someone claims you’ve created a “hostile atmosphere,” that can be enough.

And you don’t even need to break the law.
Civil injunctions, Community Protection Notices, and “Respect Orders,” which can ban you from speaking publicly, can be used pre-emptively (in case you say something offensive in the future) to silence people.

No jury. No trial. Just a judge ruling that your speech causes “discomfort.”

This isn’t about protecting people; it’s about reinforcing narratives, and the rules aren’t applied fairly.

ok i have a plan for the trailing arm now. i am gona increase the strut travel slightly, and also inlude an elastomer bump stop for added safety to prevent bottoming out.

i'll add multiple possible mounting locations for the top of the strut to change the angle as needed to adjust the ride quality by adjusting the travel and leverage of the end of the trailing arm

Saw a Dutch TV item about the concept of "enshittification" from @pluralistic - it is translated quite well.

Triggered me to think of an interesting article by @pkrugman (on his substack) where he generalized the concept to all business. He does disagree with Cory that enshitification ends with death - pointing to Facebook as example.
