So, as someone who loves the #Pokemon #Eevee , I sure haven't spoken too much about it.
A point of contention that comes up frequently with me and the wife. "What is Eevee?" I mean, is it a Dog? A Cat? A Rabbit? A Fox?!
Typically. I default to the answer that Eevee is Eevee. A precious little bean that needs protecting.
Part of the joy of Eevee is that they essentially embody an idea of childhood potential, Eevee can become all kinds of things depending on conditions around them. Sure, half of them involve shoving a rock in their face.
Every time there is a new generation, I am eagerly waiting in the wings for new Eeveelutions (Best portmanteau), and as I assemble my non-mainstream brand building block Eevees, I'll do a little write up on them, my thoughts and feelings about their design and maybe a little on the stats and functionality... At least through my eyes, I am not into the Pokemon Meta, and I am sure what I say about their battle potential can easily be refuted.
What is not to love about the design of Eevee? They are super cute with a big bushy tail, pointy ears, and a little furry ruff. They just look super cuddly, and I want one or maybe ten.
Ahem, anyway. Besides being so cute that I would invade a micro-nation at their behest, it is a shame that within the context of the game, it's a bit mediocre. Being a first form Pokemon, I wouldn't expect it to have stats to shout about.
Being quite old school Pokemon, I am surprised it can learn attacking moves outside the normal type. But there isn't anything worth picking up to try and transfer to a different form, passing the grass move trail blaze (grass type physical move) to Flareon has some potential, but that's all I can see.
Sadly, it feels like Eevee, within the game, has the purpose of plugging type gaps in your party... We could really do with a normal type evolved form to champion the Normal type! Outside the game, I don't think I could evolve an Eevee, unless I had multiple.
So, why don't we go sequentially through the Eevees. Which means today, let's talk Vaporeon. I love Vaporeon!
No. Not like that.
Being one of literal hundreds of water types, I myself quite often default to Vaporeon as my go-to water type due to them being reliable. It is incredibly tanky being in the top 21 for the highest base HP in Gen IX and having really decent special defence. Shame it is let done by middling defences, but the high HP means it is tough to take out in a single hit. It also learns acid armour to mitigate that.
Out of the Gen 1 Eevees, Vaporeon has my favourite design, turning the ruff into a webbed frill, the ears being more like fins, and the wide flat tail, optimal for swimming. This feels like an Eevee that has specifically evolved to be a marine animal.
Did I mention that it can also learn some ice moves? Back in the early generations, that was super important for dealing with the Dragon types!
I do dig Eevee too (who's always been more dog like/fox like to me) - wifey and I were talking about all the evolutions the other day. All pretty awesome. They should do more.

Recurro a la sabiduría de los propietarios de perro para que me den una información. Me regalaron cuando tenía la anterior perra una correa redonda y mullida con varias anillas repartidas a lo largo que sirven para darle la longitud deseada fijando en ellas el mosquetón final. Incluso el mosquetón pasa por las anillas de forma que la correa es doble en la parte más cercana a la mano. Es dura y resistente pero no lo suficiente para esta perra que tengo ahora que está a poco de cargarse la fijación del mosquetón final. El modelo me gusta porque le puedo dar la medida que quiera y atármela al brazo de forma que no se me escurra de la mano. La pregunta: Nombre técnico de este tipo de correas? Tengo que buscar un repuesto antes de que ocurra lo irremediable y me quede sin correa! Gracias!
@disisdeguey No tengo ni idea! Yo la utilizo para paseo. El problema es que tira mucho y con el movimiento se está desgastando el juego del mosquetón final. La correa es en forma de tubo mullido. A distancia hay fijadas varias anillas y acaba en un mosquetón igual al que la sujeta al collar. Según en qué anilla fijes el mosquetón le das más libertad al perro. Necesito saber como se llama ese tipo de correa para no pifiarla comprando otra.

When I was a kid, I was excited by the concept of Sharp Zaurus, a handheld device that could run Linux. This was the early 2000s, the time when we were porting KDE2 to ~~FreeBSD~~ various embedded devices. Zaurus was so amazing that I told my dad to get one when he was looking for a PDA.
It wasn’t a popular device, restricted to the Japanese market, but it was popular enough to even have a novel written about it. A dystopian novel where personal security was nonexistent, and everyone carried a Zaurus-like device for basic necessities like making secure payments.
I suddenly remembered that story when I typed `apk add elixir` on my iPhone. The novel turned out to become a true story. Our phones run VMs that run VMs that run VMs. We have a trusted Secure Enclave in our pocket, in a device that will exchange your biometrics for a one-time credit card payment number. Back when I was a kid learning Erlang, the whole concept of having it easily accessible in a REPL of my phone was fiction. Now, it’s just a thing.
