Just watched the biggest black bear I've ever seen casually take his time trundling across our driveway and meandering over to the compost bin (apparently the latest scraps we deposited weren't that interesting this time). I'd suspected that the appearance of a giant depression in the side of our compost bin was caused by a bear, and now that suspicion has proved correct. So glad it's raining and that doggo was not out there.

I don’t understand why we must spend billions of dollars and waste so much water for AI.

I just created an “AI-generated image” from the original using a few dabs of the retouch tool in the Photos app.

Might have taken a sip of water afterwards but that was it.

(Is there a word/phrase for taking a regular image and making it look like it was AI generated? There should be.)

A photo of yours truly wearing a pink t-shirt and pulling a face with a poster behind him with an etching of a Linotype machine and LINOTYPE written in blank ink and “Behold! The eight wonder of the word” in blue.
Same photo as before but the glasses seem to be protruding from my skull and the text in the poster is messed up, making it look as if it was AI generated.

Euch. There was a comment piece in the Graun yesterday about a study on how fast people walk and how much they interact with other people in cities, that was done using AI. I made what I thought was a relatively anodyne comment asking how much water and electricity that pointless exercise used and it was immediately moderated 🙄

@forcedinductionretard you should always put it on with a wrench more than hand tight. if it's only hand tight it could come loose and leak causing catastrophic damage to the engine running without oil.

just buy the wrench once and change your own oil forever. personally i like the ones with a steel strap that self-tightens. i also have one that's like a big channel lock plier
