Pétroliers : Les chars et avions de guerre israéliens consomment du carburant. Pour l’essentiel, Israël n’en est pas le producteur. 6 multinationales lui fournissent 35% de ses importations de pétrole brut : BP, Shell, Chevron, ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, Eni.
Énergéticiens : Électricité et gaz en Israël proviennent en très grande majorité de compagnies internationales. Chevron contribue à hauteur de 70% de la consommation énergétique israélienne. Drummond et Glencore lui fournissent du charbon de Colombie, bien que la Colombie ait décrété l’arrêt des exports de ce combustible vers Israël en 2024.
Chevron, TotalEnergies, BP, Shell, ExxonMobil, Glencore, Drummond, Eni : toutes ces entreprises, ainsi que leurs soutiens financiers, ont été la cible d’actions militantes pour leur responsabilité dans le changement climatique. Mais ne voir que leur contribution à la mise en péril des conditions d’habitabilité de la planète serait voir le problème par le petit bout de la lorgnette. Leur rôle historique dans les massacres coloniaux n’était déjà plus à démontrer. Aujourd’hui, devant nos yeux, elles se font les soutiens matériels du gén0cide d’un peuple.
Il nous faut toujours nous rappeler ce qui permet aux fascismes et aux impérialismes de mener leurs guerres, écrasant les peuples et détruisant l’environnement.
