His analysis of populism emphasized the differences between the far-right and populism while also exemplifying how some “populist” parties have combined the two ideologies to create new groups.

Je crois que le populisme n'a même pas ce niveau de complexité hybride à laquelle fait référence Mudde. Autant le populisme est simpliste, autant on semble vouloir complexifier inutilement l'enjeu, comme si on cherchait une chaise à cinq pattes dans un univers à quatre pattes. Une démarche incertaine… Loin de se construire sur une complexe hybridation idéologique, le populiste tend simplement à simplifier la réalité, en cherchant une cause unique à la mesure de sa « compréhension » qui expliquerait tous les problèmes. Plutôt que de s'appuyer sur des alliances idéologiques, son récit est axé sur une opposition binaire entre le peuple et une élite supposée responsable des maux. Bref, le populisme se caractérise par sa recherche de réponses simples en réduisant les problèmes complexes à une cause unique. ツ

As Victor Davis Hanson correctly points out in the linked video, DEI is racial essentialism—it has to be, because it's based on Critical Race Theory, whose premises are explicitly, undeniably, and boldly assertions of the thesis that one's race is essential to one's identity, and not incidental to it.
Both in the US, and world wide, the Woke left has more power and privilege than those who oppose them. They have greater power to get people "cancelled" (e.g, fired, deplatformed, ostracised,) to get most corporations, colleges and universities to impose their preferred speech and/or censorship rules, and to get the UK, and other EU governments to do the same.
The left in general has a significantly greater ability to get its preferred government programs enacted, and to keep them running, even against determined, and adamant, opposition. That means that it's the Woke/Progressive left who have "privilege." and who speak and act from a position of power—a power so great, it wins most of the battles in spite of the fact that the causes it champions are marketed as for the benefit minorities.
Prioritizing the interests of "minorities" is the opposite of democracy. The whole point of democracy is to prioritize the will of the majority. You can't do both. Choose one.
Personally, my ethos is to prioritize the interests of individuals, and not that of groups. I'm an anti-collectivist.

@nicolay_lilicre clairement j'ai installé deux LM sur deux Mac même modèle (MacBook pro). Celui avec Cinnamon galère grave à tel point que je me dis que je vais le réinstaller. L'autre XFCE fonctionne très bien.

Par exemple, la première ouverture de LibreOffice Writer ou de Firefox prend à la louche 3 à 4 secondes. C'était dans les 30 à 45 s auparavavant sur cet ordi...
...en plus sur ces machines on peut encore trouver pas cher des barettes de RAM pour que le web soit lui aussi moins poussif (==le seul truc qui est limitant sur ces vieilles becannes, c'est les site web modernes qui se sentent obliges de telecharger la moitie de github en bibliotheques Javascript)

Dans le débat public, il est difficile de ne pas entendre cette petite musique : la gauche et l’extrême gauche nourrissent une véritable aversion pour la richesse et pour ceux qui la possèdent. Jean-Luc Mélenchon n’y va pas de main morte : « Être milliardaire est immoral ». De son côté, Oxfam affirme que « chaque milliardaire est un échec politique ». Mais pourquoi cette hostilité si forte envers les ultra-riches et leur fortune ?
Crise, inflation, guerre… et pourtant, les plus riches ne se sont jamais aussi bien portés. Leur patrimoine explose, l’impôt payé par leurs entreprises diminue, tandis que les inégalités se creusent. En France, 0,001 % de la population paie proportionnellement moins d’impôts que la majorité, tout en accaparant l’essentiel des richesses. Les dividendes flambent, les salaires stagnent, et les aides publiques aux grandes entreprises se multiplient… souvent sans aucune contrepartie. On s’attache à valoriser les fortunes comme si elles apparaissaient par magie, sans lien avec le travail des employé·es, comme si les produits et services se fabriquaient tout seuls. Pourtant, la part du travail dans la valeur ajoutée diminue chaque année. Alors, les riches et PDG, ces « génies du travail » qui auraient pris tant de risques et travaillé sans relâche, pourquoi vouloir tout leur prendre ?
Lisa Lap propose une autre lecture : taxer les riches ne serait même pas une question de générosité, mais simplement de justice. Rendre une petite part de la richesse accumulée n’est pas un affront, mais une correction nécessaire d’un système où les inégalités explosent. Et si la richesse, finalement, n’était pas toujours méritée, mais parfois… du vol ?
