Alberta already has the highest residential electricity rates in the country at 26¢/kWh for the first 1000kWhs. (for comparison, Quebec is 8¢/kWh, Manitoba is 10¢/kWh and Ontario is 14¢)

They haven't got a solid plan on how to increase capacity just for the population growth let alone energy hogs like data centres.

With the gamified electricity market in Alberta, things are going to get really unpredictable, really expensive, really fast.

overall looks pretty good! I agree that the startup apps change is a regression, but apart from that I do like a lot of what was shown here.

Not entirely sure what the point of password + TPM2 is though. If you want to password-protect your OS via encryption I feel like involving the TPM is a bit redundant if you're going to have to type a password anyway. To my understanding the TPM really shines because you can get full disk encryption without having to type the password every time, so long as your firmware configuration remains the same. I could be wrong though!
