Looking at Debian's release-critical bugs, you can see that Trixie is close: Testing now has fewer critical bugs than Stable, and the number is dropping quickly. About 200 bugs still need to be fixed to get the number down to where the previous releases were done.

It's been reported (Debian mailing list, Phoronix, Linuxiac) that Debian 13 will likely be out this summer. The hard freeze is on May 15 and usually that means the actual release is pretty close, just a couple of months away.
Phoronix speculated that, since Debian 12 went from initial freeze to stable release in 5 months, Debian 13 could release around August.
I upgraded to Trixie last week. It already worked as flawlessly as I'd expect it when the release is official. It installed a bunch of new packages, removed the same number of obsolete ones, and upgraded everything else. On the next apt update, it asks to reformat sources.list and that's it.
Yeah, I did that in a system as well and seems to work, for for the others I'll have to wait for the final release, too critical. I'm one of those guys who runs a lot of Debian because the risks of a distro like Ubuntu Server are way over what I can be exposed to.

The Al-Qassam Brigades released a statement providing a detailed account of the ambush that targeted Zionist forces in Rafah on Saturday, at the height of the regime’s genocidal war on Gaza.
Al-Qassam Brigades said that their fighters successfully drew an engineering unit toward a tunnel entrance that had been pre-rigged with explosives. The operation began with direct engagement, during which the fighters killed several members of the unit at point-blank range.

Cette résolution, comme la recommandation suivante, vise à interdire les traitements et comportements injustes à l’égard des personnes qui prétendent appartenir au sexe auquel elles n’appartiennent pas. Ce point mérite déjà discussion. Mais, et c’est même la majeure partie de son contenu, elle vise surtout à encourager les États à autoriser le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil pour les personnes qui se disent « trans » (transsexuelles à l’époque), et à rembourser leurs traitements chirurgicaux, médicaux et autres.
Les « personnes transsexuelles » que le pasteur Doucé recevait dans son centre étaient très majoritairement des hommes se disant femmes. L’accueil des transsexuels était d’ailleurs organisé par un de ces hommes. Les revendications de « droits pour les personnes transsexuelles », les prétendus « droits des trans », sont originellement et essentiellement des exigences formulées par des hommes (se disant femmes), qui souhaitent non seulement que la société avalise leur mensonge, leur usurpation d’identité (que l’État les autorise à changer la mention de leur sexe dans leurs documents d’identité), mais en outre que la collectivité paie pour leurs traitements.
Dans la résolution et la recommandation impulsées par le pasteur Doucé, plusieurs choses illustrent nettement le caractère à la fois irrationnel et sexiste des revendications transidentitaires :
Dans la résolution du 12 septembre 1989, il est fait mention d’un « changement du rôle sexuel ». Être un homme ou une femme est donc assimilé à un « rôle sexuel ». Une vision typiquement réactionnaire que ne renieraient pas les pires conservateurs de droite.
Dans la recommandation 1117, il est fait mention d’un « sexe psychique ». Comme si être un homme ou une femme relevait d’un certain type de psychologie. Une telle vision, qui constitue une forme exemplaire d’essentialisme, réduit les femmes à un ensemble de traits psychologiques, à un type de personnalité. Une autre formule l’exprime on ne peut plus clairement qui explique qu’autoriser le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil pour la « personne transsexuelle » consiste à lui « donner » une « identité sexuelle qui constitue d'ailleurs un élément déterminant de sa personnalité ». Être un homme ou une femme, c’est une affaire de personnalité. Les hommes aiment la bagarre, le bleu, le foot, la bière et dominer. Les femmes sont dociles, serviables, empathiques, discrètes, portées sur le rose, le maquillage, la cuisine et les tâches ménagères. Tels sont les « rôles sexuels » et les caractéristiques du « sexe psychique » que cette résolution, cette recommandation et les revendications trans en général avalisent. Là encore, les conservateurs les plus misogynes de droite approuveraient certainement.
Le rapport ayant mené à la recommandation 1117, rédigé par un homme italien, affirme que le « sexe psychologique » peut être « en opposition » avec le sexe « anatomique, biologique ou génétique », c’est-à-dire que l’esprit peut être « en opposition » avec le corps, inadapté au corps, et qu’il s’agit donc, pour les individus atteints d’une telle condition, « de faire coïncider le “psyché” avec le “physis” », autrement dit de conformer le corps à l’esprit en altérant médicalement et chirurgicalement le premier. En plus de ce que je souligne dans les deux points précédents, on retrouve ici les idées transidentitaires désormais courantes selon lesquelles le corps et l’esprit feraient deux, et selon lesquelles un esprit pourrait se retrouver « dans le mauvais corps ». Un tissu d’absurdités sexistes.
En 1989, au moment où la résolution et la recommandation susmentionnées sont votées, plus de 80% des députés européens sont des hommes. Dans divers pays de l’union européenne, les femmes sont encore lourdement discriminées, défavorisées, à plusieurs égards (elles le sont encore aujourd’hui, mais à l’époque, c’était bien pire : en Irlande, par exemple, l’avortement était encore interdit). De l’indécence abjecte du mouvement trans. Alors même que les droits – des droits parfaitement légitimes, élémentaires – des femmes ne sont pas assurés, des hommes exigent des autorités et de la collectivité qu’on les autorise à être socialement et juridiquement considérés comme de vraies femmes et qu’on leur rembourse leurs gros implants mammaires et leurs traitements hormonaux.
Le lobbying du pasteur Doucé et de ses collègues a ouvert la voie au mouvement trans contemporain.
En France, depuis 1992 et un jugement de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme (faisant suite à une plainte déposée par un homme se disant femme et souhaitant être considéré comme une femme au regard de la loi), le terme « femme » a été partiellement déconnecté de la matérialité du sexe féminin dans le droit. Dans un arrêt rendu le 25 mars 1992, 21 juges de la Cour européenne (parmi lesquels seulement 2 femmes) ont estimé, à 15 voix contre 6, qu’une « femme » (à l’état civil), ça pouvait être un homme qui altère son apparence physique, qui adopte un certain « rôle social » (sous-entendu, de femme), qui présente un certain « psychisme » et qui revêt « un habillement féminin » (le jugement parle d’un « sexe psychosocial », variante de l’idée d’un « sexe psychique » ou « psychologique », et encore un parfait oxymore, comme une matérialité immatérielle ; le « sexe psychosocial », qui n’a rien à voir avec le sexe puisque l’on ne parle pas de biologie, relève plutôt de ce que les féministes appellent le « genre », et qu’elles combattent).
Autrement dit, il a été jugé qu’une femme, ça pouvait être un homme qui s’efforce de correspondre aux stéréotypes (sexistes) culturellement imposés aux femmes dans le but de les inférioriser et de les exploiter. PROGRÈS MAJEUR, n’est-ce pas ? Selon la gauche médiatique, institutionnelle, bourgeoise, en France et dans de nombreux pays : oui. (Mais cette « gauche » est un pathétique travestissement de ce que devrait être la gauche).
Le jugement de 1992 de la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme est venu contredire une série de jugements de la Cour de cassation, établis entre 1975 et 1990, qui avaient refusé le changement de la mention du sexe à l’état civil à plusieurs personnes se disant « transsexuels ». Dans un arrêt du 21 mai 1990, la première chambre civile de la Cour de cassation considérait par exemple que :
« Le #transsexualisme, même lorsqu’il est médicalement reconnu, ne peut s’analyser en un véritable changement de sexe, le transsexuel, bien qu’ayant perdu certains caractères de son sexe d’origine, n’ayant pas pour autant acquis ceux du sexe opposé. […] l’article 8, alinéa 1er, de la Convention européenne des droits de l’homme, qui dispose que toute personne a droit au respect de sa vie privée et familiale, n’impose pas d’attribuer au transsexuel un sexe qui n’est pas en réalité le sien. »
Cet arrêt était et demeure parfaitement logique sur le plan scientifique.
Malheureusement, entre-temps, le lobbying des hommes excités par l’idée de se prétendre femme et/ou adeptes du #transhumanisme a fait des dégâts. Et désormais, la réalité matérielle et biologique du #sexe se confond avec le concept de « genre » (et/ou avec divers concepts encore plus ouvertement absurdes, sexistes et essentialistes, comme le « sexe psychologique », le « sexe psychosocial » ou le « sexe psychique »).
Pour celles et ceux qui ne suivent pas, on résume. Les féministes s’efforcent depuis des années de faire comprendre au monde qu’une femme, c’est une personne humaine de sexe féminin susceptible d’avoir tout type de personnalité, de traits psychologiques, d’aptitudes, d’intérêts, de goûts, de préférences. Que contrairement à ce que prétendent les stéréotypes établis par la société patriarcale, une femme peut être vive, indolente, rebelle, serviable, courageuse, couarde, portée sur le foot, sur la danse, sur la boxe ou sur l’équitation. Que le sexe ne détermine ni un type de personnalité, ni un rôle social.
Les idéologues trans soutiennent, à l’inverse, qu’être une femme c’est présenter un certain type de personnalité (une personnalité prétendument « féminine »), c’est présenter certains traits psychologiques (des traits psychologiques prétendument « féminins »), c’est avoir une affinité pour certaines activités (des activités prétendument « féminines »), etc. En parfaite opposition aux revendications féministes, les idéologues trans soutiennent que le type de personnalité que l’on a détermine notre sexe (« sexe psychologique ») et qu’il convient dès lors d’adapter le sexe corporel au sexe mental. Pour le dire clairement : c’est n’importe quoi.
Et au nom de ces idées irrationnelles et réactionnaires, on mutile des gens – on encourage des gens à se mutiler eux-mêmes. On détourne l’agenda féministe, les objectifs des organisations consacrées aux lesbiennes et aux homosexuels. Et au nom de la sacralité inquestionnable des idées trans, on ostracise, on censure, on excommunie. Et on donne des billes à la droite et à l’extrême droite, qui ont alors beau jeu de dénoncer l’irrationalité de la gauche.
