in reply to LINux on MOBile • • •They are in an early stage still, but from what I could take in, I think that their approach can work. The only thing that gives me pause (knowing the app ecosystem) is the 5.5" 16:9 display (see also reddit.com/r/dawndrumsdev/comm…).
It's definitely nice to see a phone designed in Africa (Tunisia)!

That said, if I made a 'LINMOBphone' it would, no matter the distro, also have some software branding + additional (meta-) packages to customize the experience and to not have to argue with distro people that Gapless is IMHO better than Lollypop.
I totally understand that if you put all the work into making hardware, you just want some influence on what's running on it.
