Seit 2,5 Monaten unterbindet der israelische Staat jede Zufuhr von Nahrung, Medizin und anderen Hilfsgütern, und auferlegt damit der Bevölkerung von Gaza Bedingungen die mit dem Überleben der palästinensischen Bevölkerung nicht vereinbar sind.
Bereits jetzt sind zahlreiche Menschen verhungert, die Überlebenden wird der Hunger dauerhaft zeichnen, selbst wenn Gaza-Streifen jetzt mit Nahrung geflutet würde.
