They do make these mistakes more often than not, but in the real world it would probably never make any difference considering the processing power available even on a toaster, and that most modern systems will be waiting for calls to the disk, network, cloud ,or db.
The point is; here is my positive take:
Every bit of AI generated code i have seen from the models that are rated "good" at it is better than any pajeet code i have ever seen in my entire career. Off-shore and H1B.
Grok is really good at refining code after generating code that is "askew" of what you originally wanted you can keep going and focus the code gen to a real solution.
Haven't ever paid for any AI service [I had free ChatGPT for a time] but what surprises me is the result you can get w/out paying nuttin.
@jazzilla like the "impressive" part to me is as you say. Especially as an experienced programmer, if I add just a couple extra words I can get it to generate what I want without the optimization issues.

Until i came across aurora. Holy shit, I installed it and poof, all the efort of custom kernels, matching drivers just evaporated, I know I sound like one of those nuts that found a distro that he thinks is good, but I swear for the surface pro, this distro works excellently and I have tried ALL OF THEM.
