Je n'ai pas de connaissances proches trans F2M donc je n'en parlerai pas, mais pour les personnes M2F que je connais, je peux juger les conditions qui les ont amené à faire ce choix radical et très lourd de conséquences pour leur santé, essentiellement : avoir grandi et vécu dans un environnement de masculinité ultra-toxique (patriarcat méditerranéen brutal, violence endémique voire banditisme, homophobie intolérante, etc) dans lequel les seules personnalités positives (travailleuses, honnêtes, tolérantes, gentilles, aimantes) sont des femmes. Oui, c'est aussi con que ça.
Pour les personnes plus jeunes (et autant que je puisse juger, ça s'applique aussi bien aux M2F que F2M) il y a une grosse part de problèmes d'image personnelle (être moche, ne pas correspondre aux canons, ne pas être "populaire" ou même avoir la lose), et se dire trans (sans chirurgie ni traitement heureusement) est juste une façon de "se rendre intéressant" dans un environnement où les préjugés sexistes et l'adhérence aux normes sociales sont très forts. Typiquement Untel est un garçon mais aime porter des jupes et se maquiller, donc va se dire "trans" et se faire appeler d'un prénom féminin. Mais il s'agit juste de l'intégration de normes patriarcales oppressives, on ne voit pas en quoi ça nécessiterait la moindre étiquette.
