"Who designed this?" you might ask.

Small NYC brownstones such as the one shown here were generally either built from the start as multi-family tenements, or were built as single-family homes and later subdivided into apartments. In the former case, the layout into individual units was part of the original design and generally fairly sane. In the latter case, landlords often tried to squeeze every square inch of rentable space out of the existing layout, at the expense of things like hallways.

But here’s where Debian gets tripped up by the ecosystem: the moment you hit a login prompt, you enter a session with user-locked audio. This isn’t Debian’s fault. It’s the fault of PulseAudio, PipeWire, and the entire philosophy of session-bound audio daemons that don’t care what the kernel is doing.


It's worth noting that PipeWire is being developed with support for a system-wide, multi-user instance, which should solve the problem that I think the author is describing above. When I last checked a couple years ago, it was enabled with this build option: -Dsystemd-system-service=enabled

The name of that flag seems to imply that systemd is required, which would be disappointing for folks who use other init systems. I haven't tried it, so I don't know if it's a true requirement or just a name that was convenient at the time it was created.

Insbesondere gehts auch um die dystopischen, GHF-Zentren, Hunger, das Stehlen von Hilfslieferungen und warum "die Hamas kapituliert, gibt Waffen auf und hört auf zu existieren" keine Lösung wäre die heutige israelische Politik akzeptieren würde.

I am having a weird experience on the Fediverse.

I created this community hilariouschaos.com/c/ComicStri… just a few hours back. When l'm trying to search for this community from this account and my other lemmy accounts, this particular community is not showing up. However, when I'm trying to make a post to this community by copy pasting the URL in this body section, it's landing me directly on the page and accepting my post as that of the moderator's, which is me of course.

Can anybody please tell me what is wrong over here ?

Regarding your issue, Lemmy can get a bit confused when you're logged into multiple instances from the same browser. Your best bet is to clear cache and try again.

Edit: Just read some of the other comments, lemmy.ml and some others do indeed de-federate us, which is why you won't see the community from there.

But—while we're never going to 100% eliminate abusive behavior—in the world we're trying to build, we can make this shit less dire. When people aren't struggling to survive, they are much harder to exploit and control. Things can be better.

Can I do anything to help out an abused friend?
Basically a friend in a group chat I'm in is suffering under abusive parents, specifically a mother who tends to beat her. The problem is that she lives in Dubai, which as I understand it is a humanitarian hellscape, and the second problem is that she's still legally a minor, so it's not just a question of getting her out of there. Is there anything that can be done in such a situation?

Fight against the fictional religions that support parents beating their children.

You want to send in a SEAL team? Give me a break. Everyone in every muslim country lives a shitty hellscape of religious torture every single day. Especially women. Maybe start talking to muslim women about supporting a religion designed to turn them into slaves with no rights.

This plight is shared by hundreds of millions of islamic women slaves. Yet, the problem cannot be solved if those women still support the religion that is enslaving them. There are plenty of women supporting the religions that harm them, for many different reasons.

It's no different with any other religion. In the US, there are plenty of women supporting taking away women's medical rights. Why? Only because of religion. No other reason.

Yoksa yaptığığımız bir keşif yolculuğu mudur?

Zihinsel Devrim ve Doğal Kodlar

Günümüz dünyasında bireylerin ve toplumların düşünme, algılama ve davranış kalıpları, kapitalist sistemler ve merkeziyetçi yönetimler tarafından belirleniyor. Bu sistemler, kâr odaklı yapılar ve tek bir otoriteye dayalı siyasi düzenler aracılığıyla sahte bir bilinç yaratıyor; yani insanları gerçek ihtiyaçlarından uzak, dayatılmış bir algıya hapsediyor. Ancak doğa, bize paylaşım ve dayanışma temelli doğal kodlar sunuyor. Hiyerarşi yerine iş birliğine dayalı bu kültürel değerler, zihinsel devrimi daha adil ve gelecek nesiller için yaşanabilir bir geleceğe taşıyabilir. Zihinsel devrim, bu kodları yeniden keşfederek bireyleri ve toplumları özgürleştirme gücüne sahip.

2015 yılında Nörobilim’deki hızlı gelişmelerle yapay zekâ alanında önemli bir atılım yaşandı. Bu dönemde ortaya atılan “bilgi üreten sistemler zeka üretir” hipotezi, bilgiyi işleyen her sistemin—ister biyolojik, örneğin insan beyni, ister yapay, örneğin bir yapay zekâ modeli—zeka geliştirebileceğini savunuyor. Bu ilke, doğadaki tüm sistemler için geçerli ve zihinsel süreçlerin evrensel bir özelliğini yansıtıyor.

Örneğin, 2009 yapımı Avatar filmindeki yaşam ağacı Eywa, Pandora’daki canlıların bir sinir ağıyla bağlanarak kolektif bir zeka oluşturduğunu gösteriyor. Bu metafor, doğanın kendi içinde bir zihinsel devrim yarattığını simgeliyor.

Zihinsel devrim, bireylerin ve toplumların düşünce yapılarını kökten değiştiren bir süreçtir. Bu değişim yalnızca bireyin dünyayı algılama biçimiyle sınırlı kalmaz; aynı zamanda toplumun kabul ettiği davranış kuralları, ortak inanç ve gelenekler, hatta mal ve hizmetlerin üretim ile dağıtım biçimlerini de etkiler.

Örneğin, 18. yüzyıldaki Aydınlanma Çağı, Avrupa’da akıl, bilim ve bireysel özgürlüklerin öne çıktığı bir dönemdi. Bireyler otoriteye körü körüne bağlılık yerine akıl ve bilimle düşünmeye başladı. Bu süreç, halkın yönetime katıldığı modern demokrasilerin ve bilimsel ilerlemenin temelini attı.

Günümüzde teknoloji, zihinsel devrimin yeni bir dalgasını tetikliyor. İnsan benzeri düşünme ve öğrenme yeteneğine sahip yapay zekâ, devasa miktarda bilgiyi analiz eden büyük veri ve internete dayalı dijital iletişim ağları, bilgiye erişimi herkes için kolaylaştırarak düşünme biçimlerini dönüştürüyor.

Sosyal medya platformları, örneğin X veya Instagram, insanların fikirlerini paylaşmasını ve farklı bakış açılarıyla karşılaşmasını sağlıyor. Ancak bu dönüşüm, yanlış veya yanıltıcı bilgilerin yayılması anlamına gelen dezenformasyon ve farklı gruplar arasında artan fikir ayrılığı ile çatışma, yani kutuplaşma gibi sorunları da beraberinde getiriyor.

Şu anda mevcut tüm yapay zekâ platformlarının, dijital altyapıyı kontrol eden büyük teknoloji şirketlerinin ekonomik gücü olan bulut sermayesi tarafından kâr odaklı bir zihniyetle üretilmiş olması endişe yaratmasın. Bu durum, aynı zamanda bu teknolojilerin toplumun genel yararı için de üretilebileceğinin bir kanıtı.

Zihinsel devrimin etkileri teknolojiyle sınırlı değil. Okullarda ve üniversitelerde öğrenme süreçleri, doğal kaynakların korunması ve sürdürülebilirlik farkındalığı, toplumda eşitlik ve hakkaniyet sağlama çabaları gibi alanlarda da önemli değişimler yaşanıyor.

Örneğin, Finlandiya’daki eğitim modeli, bilgiyi sorgulama ve analiz etme yeteneği olan eleştirel düşünceyi ve birlikte çalışma becerisini merkeze alarak, ezberci ve öğretmen odaklı geleneksel yöntemleri dönüştürüyor. Bu yenilikler, bireylerin problem çözme kapasitesini artırarak eleştirel ve sorumlu bir toplum yaratıyor.

Zihinsel devrimin sürdürülebilir bir dönüşüm yaratabilmesi için bireysel çabaların ötesine geçip, toplumun temel işleyiş kurallarını yeniden düzenlemeye odaklanmak gerekiyor.

Günümüzde kâr odaklı ekonomi sistemleri ve sürekli tüketimi teşvik eden tüketim kültürü, zihinsel süreçleri kısıtlayarak gerçek bir dönüşümü engelliyor. Örneğin, küresel şirketlerin reklam stratejileri, bireyleri ihtiyaç duymadıkları ürünlere yönlendirerek sahte bir tatmin duygusu yaratıyor ve bu süreçte doğa tahribatını ve kaynakların tükenmesini hızlandırıyor. Bu yüzden zihinsel devrim, yalnızca düşünce yapılarını değil, bu yapıların şekillendiği ekonomik ve toplumsal sistemleri de dönüştürmeyi hedeflemeli.

İşte tam bu noktada, zihinsel devrimi köklü bir değişime dönüştürmek için toplumların davranış ve düşünce kalıplarını belirleyen temel bir kültürel kodlara, yani genetik bir anahtara ihtiyaç var.

Ekonomik güç ve siyasi otorite olan sermaye devleti, güç ve parayı kendi kodları olarak benimserken, bu sistemler bireyleri ve toplumları kâr odaklı bir döngüye hapsediyor. Buna karşılık, bizler kodlarımızı hiyerarşi ve mülkiyet yerine dayanışma ve paylaşım üzerine kurulu doğal toplumlardan alabiliriz. Toplumsal kaynakların ortaklaşa yönetildiği ve bireylerin eşitlik temelinde bir arada yaşadığı bir düzen olan komünalist yaşam formu, bu doğal kodları yeniden canlandırarak zihinsel devrimi daha adil ve sürdürülebilir bir geleceğe taşıyabilir.

Ancak burada önemli bir nokta, araçlarımızı da bu kodlarla inşa etmek. Dayanışma ve ortaklaşa yönetime dayalı bir düşünce yapısıyla üretilmiş, mevcut sisteme karşı alternatif yapılar kuran toplulukları gerektiren amaca uygun araçlar geliştirilmeli. Bugüne kadar kullanılan tek bir otoriteye dayalı merkeziyetçi, farklılıkları dışlayan tekçi, derinlikten yoksun iki boyutlu ve dijital olmayan analog araçlar yerine; çok yönlü ve derinlikli üç boyutlu, farklı sesleri kucaklayan çoğulcu, herkesin eşit haklara sahip olduğu eşitlikçi, cinsiyet kimliklerine saygı duyan ve ayrımcılığı reddeden cinsiyet özgürlükçü, birlikte çalışma ve paylaşma odaklı dayanışmacı araçlar yaratılmalı.

Sonuç olarak, zihinsel devrim hem bireysel hem de toplumsal düzeyde bir dönüşüm gerektiriyor. Bu dönüşüm, yalnızca zihinsel algı ve inançlarda değil, bireylerin ve toplulukların günlük davranışlarında da kendini göstermeli. Ancak böylece eşitlik temelli, gelecek nesiller için kaynakları koruyan ve eleştirel bir farkındalığa sahip bilinçli bir dünya inşa edilebilir. Bu süreçte, dayanışma ve ortaklaşa yönetime dayalı komünalist zihniyetle şekillendirilmiş araçlar ve toplumun temel işleyiş kurallarını yeniden düzenleyen yapısal değişimler, zihinsel devrimin kalıcı bir etki yaratmasını sağlayacaktır.

Zihinsel devrimin geleceği, bireylerin ve toplulukların bu dönüşümü aktif bir şekilde sahiplenmesine bağlı. Teknoloji, dayanışma temelli komünalist zihniyetle şekillendirilmiş amaca uygun araçlarla birleştiğinde, hiyerarşi yerine paylaşım ve dayanışma temelli kültürel değerler yeniden hayat bulabilir. Böylece yeni nesiller için herkesin dahil olduğu kapsayıcı, fırsat ve haklarda adil eşitlikçi ve yaşanabilir bir çevre bırakan sürdürülebilir bir dünya yaratmak mümkün olur.

Bu, bir hayal değil, gerçekleştirilebilir bir hedef. Yeter ki hepimiz bu değişimin parçası olmayı seçelim ve düşünme ile davranış kalıplarımızı bu ortak amaç doğrultusunda dönüştürelim.

Spät, sehr spät schwenkt auch die #Tagesschau vom Mitmachen bei reflexhaften Antisemitismusvorwürfen und "Staatsräson"-Gefasel zu einem genaueren Blick auf das, was in #Gaza und im #Westjordanland seit langem tatsächlich vor sich geht.

Israels Regierung will weitere jüdische Siedlungen im besetzten Westjordanland bauen. Im Gazastreifen setzt die Netanjahu-Regierung Hunger als Kriegswaffe ein. Es sei Zeit, das Bild von Israel zu überdenken.
