A little exercise in how women die.

My ex was undergoing psych assessment last night. Part of the assessment involved social services intervention and it was advised by them that contact between him and the children, AND me and him, needs to be supervised until treatments are agreed, established and he's deemed safe to be around.

I'd literally just hung up the call and went down the road to pick up my boy and ex is standing there waiting for me at the school gates. He'd been tuned out without sectioning, no medication and had been handed a bunch of phone numbers so he can self refer to councilling and homeless services. No one had advised him of the social service restrictions. Thankfully he was more confused than violent, he'd lost his phone and needed numbers from me, but I was initially really scared.

Niemand wirft Spahn vor, in der Eile ein paar teure Fehler begangen zu haben.

Ich denke, dafür haben wir alle Verständnis.

Problematisch war stets, dass er gegen die ausdrücklichen Warnungen seiner Mitarbeiter (die ja schließlich im Gegensatz zu ihm Profis waren) gehandelt hat und vor allem, dass er freihändig und eigenmächtig viel Geld an CDU/CSU-Spezis verteilt hat.

Unfähigkeit ist verzeihlich, Korruption ist es nicht.

One way or another, I think UK data protection inadequacy is coming.

The EU politicians have a track record of getting this wrong and I anticipate the CJEU will play a part.

Perhaps like this...

1. The Data Privacy Framework for adequacy between the EU and US falls.
2. The UK maintains its Data Bridge adequacy arrangement with the US.
3. The EU feels compelled to protect its citizens from the risks of onward transfers of their personal data from the UK to the US.
4. Bye bye to the EU's adequacy decision regarding the UK.

Several women's health and safety organisations have spoken out against the 'shocking' new guidance, vowing to 'aggressively challenge' it

"New guidance in the UK has handed British police the power to trawl through women's phones if they suspect said individual has undergone an illegal abortion.

As per an announcement made by the National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) last month, officers investigating the causes of stillbirths, miscarriages and unexpected pregnancy losses will now be permitted access to check menstrual cycle tracking apps.

The alleged aim of the incoming procedure is to 'establish a woman’s knowledge and intention in relation to the pregnancy.'"

NEW: Researchers found forensic evidence of Paragon's spyware on the iPhones of two journalists.
