well, in a way that's what happens in singing classes/choirs - you get for example 2 or 3 sections from low to high.
most men have lower voices, so usually it's a bass section with men, and then the other section/sections are women.
BUT! I do have a bit higher voice than most men, and I love to be singing at a range more on the high end or what I can reach, than the low end. so I bet I could do just fine in the middle section, which was all women in this group.
but I wasn't asked or anything, you kinda just get told, oh hi you're a guy so we other guys will sit next to you and we'll be the bass section! and I'm not really someone to want to put the attention on me and tell them I want to sing with the higher group 😅
and even if I did.. it's just weird to me that kinda "automatically" when you are new, the guys are all diving on you like "OH HI FELLOW BRO DUDE! WELCOME TO THE GUYS SECTION! in reply to benda • • •well, in a way that's what happens in singing classes/choirs - you get for example 2 or 3 sections from low to high.
most men have lower voices, so usually it's a bass section with men, and then the other section/sections are women.
BUT! I do have a bit higher voice than most men, and I love to be singing at a range more on the high end or what I can reach, than the low end. so I bet I could do just fine in the middle section, which was all women in this group.
but I wasn't asked or anything, you kinda just get told, oh hi you're a guy so we other guys will sit next to you and we'll be the bass section! and I'm not really someone to want to put the attention on me and tell them I want to sing with the higher group 😅
and even if I did.. it's just weird to me that kinda "automatically" when you are new, the guys are all diving on you like "OH HI FELLOW BRO DUDE! WELCOME TO THE GUYS SECTION! WE'RE VERY MALE!", while the women say hi to me but otherwise kinda hang together and semi-ignore me because then men had already soaked me up in their clique! 😅 🤣
