Nonetheless, evidence suggests that a “major project” at Dimona was underway in 2021 and that Israel was by then actively expanding its nuclear production facilities. The absence of UN or other inspections at Dimona has resulted in no public acknowledgment from Israel regarding its nuclear warheads, leading to a lack of accountability. This situation renders their illegal bombing of Iran for its alleged nuclear program all the more hypocritical.

#iran is a rogue state that oppresses its population and especially women. I won't shed a single tear if that regime topples even though I detest #israel 's behaviour.

Whether Iran was creating nuclear weapons is irrelevant now. If this regime survives with any of its nuclear capabilities intact it will feel forced to finish whatever steps it may already have taken. And that leaves the rest of the world no choice but to help Israel destroy Iran's nuclear industry.

Advice regarding power efficient distros needed
So I'm looking for a distro that I can put on my laptop in addition to kde neon and boot into when I want to save battery. The thing is I'm not even sure if I can expect a noticeable difference or if the display and applications I want to use (mostly just basic office stuff and maybe a browser but I want to use this in the forest so I won't have wifi anyway) already draw so much power that background processes don't really matter. If you think they do then I'd like to hear about especially efficient distros. I'm not a poweruser though so anything that requires extensive setup or maintainance won't work for me sadly. I was thinking maybe something like kanotix that loads to RAM but like I said I'm not sure if that actually saves power.

Plus près de nous, de l’autre côté du Rhin, nous avons un dirigeant qui félicite publiquement ceux qui font son « sale boulot ». Qui vous dit que demain ce « sale boulot » ne nous concernera pas ?

A major one is the nukes narrative, which enables a genocidal apartheid regime possessing plenty of nuclear warheads, one which refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, to bomb – with the full support of the West – a country that did sign the NPT and has never possessed nukes. "Of course, we don’t know exactly how many nuclear warheads Israel has, because Israeli leaders refuse to publicly admit they have any. The whole military program is kept in near-total secrecy, under a policy called “strategic ambiguity,” meaning the existence of the bombs is neither confirmed nor denied. Historians believe Israel first got a nuclear weapon in 1967, after secretly refining plutonium at the Dimona facility and running a “full deception campaign” to convince U.S. inspectors the purpose of the reactors there was civilian rather than military. (Ironically, this is exactly the kind of deception Israel now accuses Iran of practicing.) It’s also strongly suspected that Israel tested a nuclear weapon off the coast of South Africa in 1979, in partnership with that country’s apartheid government. It’s called the Vela incident, after the spy satellite that spotted the nuclear flash. But “strategic ambiguity” means there’s little international oversight or accountability involved with any of this, and much of it takes place in violation of international law. Like North Korea and a small handful of other nations, Israel has not signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), despite United Nations resolutions that it should do so. It has signed the Limited Test Ban Treaty of 1963, but likely broke it with the South African incident. And most importantly, its leaders refuse to allow inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to access Dimona, so we have no way of knowing what’s going on in there.

Under U.S. law, Israel’s rogue nuclear program means that the United States should not be supplying it with military aid of any kind. The law in question is the International Security Assistance and Arms Export Control Act of 1976, and its language is unambiguous. But for more than 50 years now, U.S. leaders have been willing to ignore their own laws and accept this..."
