What direction do you think tech in general will go in 5 years (ignoring AI)

I think ar might be a dead dream in its current state, I always thought wed have proper ar glasses by now because I fell for Magic Leaps Marketting, not sure if it'll come anytime soon.

What I do believe is coming is the resurgence of computers through mobile phones. Everyone has a powerful computer in their pockets but isn't able to use them to their full potential. I wouldn't be suprised if android pushed out a proper android desktop experience letting android users get the full linux desktop experience when plugged into a monitor, mouse, and keyboard.

Phone performance is stronger than the average laptops/netbooks from 10 years age and they run linux fine for everyday use. Feels like a missed opportunity if someone doesn't drop a phone or os that lets you take advantage of modern hardwares capability. They could advertise it to families, mo more buying a pc for school, just get them hardware for their existing device, it can already do everything. Schools could use lapdocks, or tabletdocks, that could force school parental controls on devices while at school and still let them use it for their education while in class.

(obviously not everyone has a phone but that frees up resources for the kids that dont, if the kids that do can use cheaper docks with their exisitnt hardware)

The population average for Gaza was established as between 83 and 85!

Seeing how well Israel functions, despite about 24% Arabs, the conclusion is that their Jewish population's average is much higher than 100, as they have to compensate for the Arabs who drag them down.

Israel is actually extremely successful and produces a GDP of over 500 BILLION. Despite the constant wars. They are NOT dependent on handouts AT ALL!

The US only got involved in the 1980s. Out of their own interest. They do NOT send any money to Israel. They provide them with military equipment, which Israeli engineers IMPROVE and the US companies have the right to use those improvements for free.

Israel is a highly innovative country - close to Switzerland, my country. We have been world leaders in innovation since the 19th century. Israel now produces a number of patents that is close to Switzerland.

Like I said, it's not my style per se. I'm a metal guy, though the drumming itself isn't really genre specific. But when I was learning this is the kind of stuff I'd watch. First, he can play. This cactus is so funny. I don't know why it decided to grow sideways, but it did a couple years ago. I tried straightening it up, but it said no, I'm going to grow sideways. It hasn't been flowering for this long at a time ever, and I don't think it's had as many flowers on it all once. We're going on probably a solid month of a being in bloom.

Sent a pull request to Audacity fixing a crash bug I'd been running into frequently. The cause was an out-of-bounds memmove. Classic C++ areas.

Anyway I got a fucking copilot review on my PR which left two comments, both completely wrong, one of which suggesting I reintroduce the out of bounds memory access. I'm furious!
