Class actions are a good thing - especially since yesterday when SCOTUS has constrained the scope of judicial orders.
But class actions where the action is really a means for certain law firms to tailor cases to generate vast piles of income while the actual victims get a lollypop, are, to my mind, both unprofessional and unethical.

200,000 people turned out in defiance of the far-right government's attempt to ban the event, with threats of fines for attendees and imprisonment for organisers.
After holding space and continuously protesting violent ICE kidnappings since June 11th, protesters showed out last night in pdx. Around 300 people showed up after a march made its way to the ICE facility last night.
Throughout the day, federal agents made various arrests. During this push, feds deployed a lot of munitions and teargas and made at least 3 arrests all to clear their driveway and let a few vehicles out. I saw at least two people who were taken down to the ground with feds holding them down with knees on their necks and heads. One of the people who was screaming had some blood visible on their scalp.
A few hours after this Portland Police intervened and declared an unlawful assembly. DHS and other feds came out at least two more times after this to throw teargas at a small group standing on the sidewalk across the street.
I've very low opinions of these privileged class's events, which I assume are places with elite & the upper middle politics(so called "peace" & rest, while living in societies that inflicts massive violenceโwithin & outside borders)

I've finally bitten the bullet and overhauled my Faircamp site, updating to the latest Faircamp and moving it to a new server in the process.
As part of the move, I've removed a bunch of old singles which have been replaced by (I hope) superior versions on Pretentious Incongruity, and also decided to replace the old Archive release in the process, as several of those tracks also ended up remixed/remastered.
When looking for tracks for the lobby for the recent #BonkWave release party live streams, I ended up going a long way back into my SoundCloud archive, and found quite a few tracks that I want to keep hold of in a slightly more accessible way.
Uncooked
I came up with the idea of a series of Uncooked releases. These won't have any remixing or remastering, they'll just be loosely themed collections of the archive tracks as they are now โ in MP3 and streaming only. But instead of just being on SoundCloud, they'll now be hosted on Faircamp and also available for download for the first time.
I've got five (!) of these releases planned, each with 7 tracks.

I went to a party to see some friends I hadn't seen in yeaaaars! That was nice. I only stayed an hour because social interactions + lots of background noise make me tired quickly. But still happy and proud that I went!

This is offtopic, but I switched from Alpaca to duck.ai. I try not to use AI too often and even though I like the idea to run it locally, duck.ai is way easier to use.
I use it also some times but that is online ai and everything you use it for goes to someones servers so its not private. Alpaca is using ollama to run ai localy on your machine so everything you use it for is private. So those two are completly diferent and are not for comparing which one is easier to use because ease of use is not the point here. Privacy is.
