So, we follow Him because it’s right. Love doesn’t love for benefits, Jesus is worthy of our love and worship because of Who He is.
Reflect on Jesus inviting you to follow Him into poverty, detachment, simplicity, and sacrifice. Do you understand what it means to be a follower of Christ? Can you follow Jesus for selfish reasons? Saying “Yes” to Him means saying “Yes” to His Cross. Ponder Jesus’ life and decide if you’re willing to follow Him to the poverty of the Cross. If you choose to follow Him, knowing what you’re saying “Yes” to, you’ll share in His resurrected life.
