“The #prisoners are detained in a sort of cages, all blindfolded and handcuffed,” the source said. “If someone speaks or moves, they are immediately silenced or they are forced to stand with their hands raised above their head and handcuffed for up to one hour.
“If they are unable to keep their hands raised, the soldiers attach the handcuffs to the bars of the cage. Many of the detainees had infected wounds that were not being properly treated.”
He added: “The floor is very dirty, and it smells so bad that we were forced to wear face masks. You could hear sometimes the sound of beating and them screaming, and [a] banging sound like against the metal wall.”
The whistleblower said prisoners were given one cucumber, a few slices of bread and a cup of cheese, and that some of them were visibly malnourished.

The three prisoners are among at least 12 Palestinians from the #WestBank and Israel to die in Israeli jails since 7 October, according to Physicians for Human Rights #Israel (PHRI), whose members sat in on the autopsies.

“The total number of arrests stands at 10,000 in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS), and Addameer Association for Human Rights said in a joint brief released Monday.

Since 7 October, 345 women and 700 children have been imprisoned in the occupied #WestBank and #Jerusalem, according to the brief.

It adds that 94 #journalists have been detained, 53 of who are still in custody.

“More than 8,322 orders of administrative detention have been issued since 7 October, ranging between new orders and renewals, including orders against children and women,” the brief goes on to say.
“The data does not include detention cases of #Gaza, due to the occupation’s refusal to give any information and the continuation of practicing the crime of enforced disappearance against them. The occupation forces arrested about 4,000 citizens from Gaza.
At least 22 #Palestinians have died in Israeli custody, according to official numbers.
The head of Israel’s Shin Bet security service, Ronen Bar, warned in a letter to #Netanyahu and Itamar Ben Gvir in late June that 21,000 Palestinians are imprisoned in jails across #israel.

Israel has opened an underground #prison for detainees from #Hamas and #Hezbollah groups where they are denied access to sunlight, according to Israeli media cited by the Anadolu news agency.

According to the Israeli public broadcaster KAN, the facility, located in central #Israel, is designed to house “the most dangerous individuals” from Hamas’s elite forces and Hezbollah’s Radwan Unit.

“This is their natural place, underground,” far-right Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who oversees the police, reportedly told KAN.

The broadcaster said some 75 detainees were currently being held at the underground prison.

“Even the small window in the ward has been sealed off for the detainees,” it added.
Describing the conditions in the underground prison as harsh, KAN said detainees there are shackled and confined to their cells for 23 hours a day.

“They are allowed only one brief opportunity per day to step into a small, enclosed yard,” it added. “Even this small yard is completely closed and the sunlight can’t reach it, and detainees are allowed to go out into it once a day.”

Palestinian prisoner Khaled Abdallah, from #Jenin Camp, occupied West Bank, has been murdered by #Israel in Megiddo prison at the age of 40. He has been held under administrative detention (imprisonment without a trial or committing an offense) since 11 September, 2023.

With the death of Khaled, the number of #Palestinians killed in Israeli prisons has risen to at least 61, with at least 40 from #Gaza. He is the third Palestinian prisoner to be announced dead the past week.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Institutions stated that this currently the bloodiest phase the prisoners had to face since 1967.

An Israeli reserve soldier has exposed shocking abuses at the Sde Teiman detention camp in the Negev desert, describing it as a “sadistic torture site” where dozens of Palestinian detainees from Gaza died under brutal conditions.

The soldier described Sde Teiman as a place where “people enter alive and leave in body bags.” He said the death of detainees was no longer surprising. “The real surprise,” he added, “is if someone survives.”

He stated that Israeli authorities oversee systematic abuse. According to his account, #Palestinian detainees suffered starvation, untreated war wounds, and denial of basic hygiene needs. “Some urinated and defecated on themselves because they weren’t allowed to use the bathroom,” he said.

At least 36 Palestinian detainees have been killed under torture in #Sdeteiman since the start of Israel’s #genocide in #Gaza.

A #Palestinian administrative detainee has died at Israel’s Soroka Hospital, according to the Palestinian authorities.

Lo’ay Faisal Nasr-Allah, 22, died at the hospital where he was transfered to from from Negev Prison, Wafa news agency said in a report quoting the Civil Affairs Commission in the occupied territory.

It added that the detainee was from the occupied #WestBank governorate of #Jenin, adding that he was held under administrative detention since March 26 last year.

Oddly, NetBSD crashes, looks like kernel panic - see picture, with the Xeon e3-1225 v2 processor in the Optiplex 3010. It boots fine with the intel i5-3450 cpu.

Linux Mint Debian edition live USB and Windows 10 SATA drive both boot fine and seem to be completely okay with the Xeon processor in this machine, but NetBSD is not happy about it.

It is such an unlikely configuration, probably never intended by Dell, so probably not worth officially reporting.

Successfully upgraded a Dell Optiplex 3010 to a Xeon e3-1225 v2 processor, replacing the i5-3450 that was originally in the computer.

Also was able to replace the memory with ECC memory (PC3L-12800E) - Registered memory won't work, though.

People that rely on AI are rapidly losing critical thinking skills, and even those of us that don't rely on it are still seeing AI generated content damn near everywhere now.

I think it can be funny at times, when deliberately and obviously used to make funny memes and stuff, but really shouldn't be used for anything serious, and definitely shouldn't be used to make deepfakes.

Even when used in good intentions, AI can be erroneous or just outright wrong. All the while, as the machines 'learn', more and more people are blindly trusting it and forgetting how to think for themselves.

TL;DR - I don't like AI

Zur Erinnerung: #Gaza ist etwa so groß wie #München, seine Bevölkerung ist aber um gut 600.000 Menschen größer.

Anders als München ist Gaza seit zwei Jahrzehnten durch eine 7 Meter hohe Mauer vollständig abgeriegelt.

Stand heute sind 82,6% der Fläche No-go-Zonen, d.h. israelisches militärisches Sperrgebiet oder unter israelischen "Evakuierungs"-Anordnungen.

92% aller Wohneinheiten sind zerstört oder beschädigt. Nicht einmal die Hälfte der Krankenhäuser kann einen rudimentären Notbetrieb aufrechterhalten. Über 17.000 Kinder sind durch Bomben und Beschuss getötet worden.

Die Nahrungsmittelverteilung hat Israel durch 4 Verteilzentren für ganz Gaza ersetzt, die jeweils nur eine Stunde am Tag geöffnet werden. Fast 600 Menschen sind bereits erschossen worden, nur weil sie für ihre Familien dort etwas zu essen holen wollten.

It is possible that the image I have submitted here is not the originally-submitted image. That image was on an image host that went down, and archive.org's Wayback Machine did not grab a copy, so I cannot know what the original image was. I used the dashboard image from the source page that Crul linked to, since I'm personally most-interested in the VFD-based dashboards from the era, and because he mentioned the dashboard in the title. Usually I'd just not repost a post if I can't properly resurrect the original content, but I did like this image.

Wenn man genauer nachprüft ergibt sich, dass die Todesfälle, die das MoH in Gaza aus ihrer Liste gestrichen hat, weil sie ein bürokratischer Apparat ist, die einen hohen Standard an ihre Zahlen anlegt.

Eine Überprüfung der Todesfälle zeigt, ja, die Kinder wurden wirklich getötet.

JA, BILD und die pro-israelische Accounts die das als Beweis sahen, die ganzen Zahlen in Zweifel zu ziehen nutzen ihr eigenes Desinteresse an der Realität, und die Gründlichkeit des MoH schamlos für Propagandazwecke.
