Most of the Narnia books by C S Lewis leave a lot to be desired.
Nothing special really, just simple fantasy for kids.
But the second to last is an absolute banger.
A prequel: The Magician's Nephew.

It's basically Sliders, or Star-gate, same premise.
A couple of kids, jumping between worlds with a pair of magic rings.
One brings you to the forest between worlds, the other allows you to enter other worlds by diving into any of the pools in the endless forest.

The kids happen upon a dying world, and meet the witch queen, who manages to hitch a ride out of her dying world.
Crazy shit happens, and eventually they manage to drag the witch back into the forest, and into another pool, another world, one that's just being created.
But not before she smashes some kid's ribs with a street lamp she pulls out of the fucking ground!

That's why Narnia has a street light, forever lit, in the middle of a forest, it's imbued by the power of creation.
That's why everyone in Narnia is an animal, except the witches who look human, they are outsiders.
That's why Aslan, despite being Narnia's creator, a literal god, seems to have trouble dealing with the witches.

In March, News Channel 5 reported Patriot Front had established a 122-acre compound in Tellico Plains.

Meanwhile May, who was part of the Active Club that infiltrated Shelbyville school, appears to be acquaintances with Elliott.

Les gouvernements occidentaux font l'inverse : ils appauvrissent l'État, ruinent le contrat social, organisent et aggravent les écarts de richesses, affaiblissent et appauvrissent les plus pauvres.
Tout cela va produire, mécaniquement, énormément d' #injustice, d'exclusion sociale, de #pauvreté, de désespoir, d'amertume et, in fine, de #violence.
Dans leur monde, selon leur éthique, c'est légitime ? il est donc légitime de s'enrichir par n'importe quel moyen, au détriment de la #collectivité, au détriment des autres. Non, ce n'est pas la Russie qui nous menace.

I liked your Knightress Oxide meme and looked at it as a performance enhancer (ie it gets men's motors running).

It's also used at dentist offices as a mild sedative and in drag racers, and other vehicles as a temporary performance booster.
The high one gets from inhaling NO from whip-its only lasts a few seconds. That's why you could see the NO cartridges falling out of people's vehicles when they would open the doors. Lol!

[SOLVED] Can't unmount automatically mounted CIFS share

Hi! Got an issue I couldn't figure out

When I use /etc/fstab to automount an SMB share using CIFS, I cannot unmount it without root privileges. If I mount it manually (as a non-privileged user), everything works just fine.

Also, an application I mount the share for (Pika Backup, based on borg) cannot access backups unless I unmount the share with root privileges and then mount it back manually.

A respective line in /etc/fstab is:
//address/directory /mnt/backup cifs credentials=...,user,auto,iocharset=utf8 0 2

Highlighted user option to make it clear I didn't forget it.

Any advice?

Just like the ceasefire agreed with Lebanon back in November last year, Israel wants the ability to bomb Gaza as and when it feels the need to do so, i.e. when it feels threatened. Now, we know what that means. Israel wants Hamas to capitulate, hand over their weapons and disappear somewhere away from Palestine.
Hezbollah had to hand over their weapons to the Lebanese army.

Tony Blinken took over from Biden (unconstitutionally) and phrased each ceasefire negotiation as follows:
- This is the ceasefire deal
- Israel accepted it
- It's now up to Hamas to accept it
- Hamas did not accept it
- Hamas are the bad guys
Of course, corporate media would not highlight the additional clauses imposed by Israel in order to accept the deal, clauses that a total idiot would reject, let alone Hamas.
