BTW Russia is coming up the Southern Pivot -- I know I say it all the time -- but looks like they finished taking the last town that spans the coastal edge of the next to the last defensive line guarding the major Eastern supply route to the South (1/2). Once they get fire control there then they can collapse the last real defensive line.
Ukraine is still scrambling to send men down to defend, but looks like it's going to be too late to hold off a late Summer sweep. Likely why the US halted arms shipments as they will just be in Russia's hands as much as we have no stock left.

Houseplants are such a barometer of self care, although the flower pictured here is one I made from paper.
I have a weekly alert to water the houseplants, but it’s usually just a backup to remind me if I’ve been preoccupied. If I’ve been taking time for myself, I’ll water when they catch my attention by loosing their alertness, like a drooping ficus leaf or a leaning peace lily spike. This week both the plants and I have been thirsty, despite the break from the heat. I’m noticing I’m drinking more water, even though I’ve been avoiding going out during the hottest part of the day. Are you staying hydrated? Despite the bright hues, this color combination feels cooling to me. The green section below the “flower” unravels. I very much admire Lara Logan. She is a fine journalist with keen instincts, but I have mixed feelings about the cleavage-revealing wardrobe she favors for her appearances and interviews.
One would dismiss her credentials at their peril if they base their opinion on how she dresses, and maybe that's a strategy on her part.
But I find it curious....

From what I can observe lurking, communication between Lemmy and Mastodon is pretty half-baked, with things overall boiling down to users on Mastodon being able to follow Lemmy users, but not the opposite, and posts from Mastodon users may appear on Lemmy but with the text body appearing as title instead. Issues like these may appear due to how each site engine handles the data received. If you must follow users from Mastodon on Reddit-like forums, Mbin is far more compatible.
From Mastodon you can follow Lemmy communities and Lemmy users. Some Lemmy communities name gets hashtags on mastodon, e.g. if you follow #idm there, you will see posts from !idm@lemmy.zip
From Lemmy you cannot follow/subscribe to anything from Mastodon. You can see replies and posts of Mastodon users in Lemmy communities
If you want to follow all from one account with a Lemmy-like interface, the closest you can get is with Mbin. There you can follow Lemmy communities, Mastodon and Lemmy users. You cannot follow Mastodon hashtags though.

Φωνάζοντας συνθήματα προσεγγίσαμε τον χώρο και ανοίξαμε το πανό μας μπροστά στην είσοδο. Once upon a time, I was friends with a guy named Jim. A very, very few of you might know him. Almost all of you won’t.
I walked away some years ago, blocked him on the socials over his support for the fascist, because I said that the fascist’s promises absolutely, positively, literally required American concentration camps, and that’s what he was supporting by supporting the fascist, and I could not abide that…
…and yet, he carried on, saying I was a fool, and that none of it would ever happen.
(I asked him then why did he support someone he insisted was lying to him. I do not remember getting an answer, before I quit.)
So now that we have American concentration camps…
…and now that people with direct access to the fascist are talking about sending literally every American citizen of Latino heritage there to die… (it will require more concentration camps than that, of course, but that’s a detail which makes no difference)
