I think it depends on how desperate you are to fix, and how hard it is to source an appropriate part. Odds original was pushing the current to the limit *and* that the limit has no buffer is low IMO
Just so you know where my skill level is for #soldering repairsโฆ I probably spent longer than any ration people trying to de-solder the relay and wondering why nothing was reaching temperature UNTIL i decide to snip off the relay that was absorbing all the heat.
My dinky soldering gun was a probably a contributing factor.
I need a soldering bootcamp with hands on experience with real tools.
