Fans bet a grand total of ¥121,751,200 on a Haru Urara victory, an impressive sum, particularly for a horse that had not won once in more than 100 attempts. The race ended in disappointment, but not surprise: despite being ridden by Japan's premier jockey, Yutaka Take, Haru Urara earned her 106th consecutive loss, placing 10th among 11 horses running.

Chinese people start to flock to 'AI night schools' amid AI industry boom globaltimes.cn/page/202506/133…

I turn 25 today.

I am blessed to have many friends all around the globe, yet very few are currently here. So yesterday I called the four people who are in the area, we got a pizza and we sat by the sea for a very humble and spontaneous celebration 🌻

Here’s one bit of wisdom after ¼ of a century as a human on planet Earth:

friendships are the most wonderful aspect of life 💕

Today I learned (much against my will) that a bygone acquaintance is performing Human-AI marriage ceremonies

I could not bear to engage further to confirm my hunch, but I'm willing to wager all the clients are men

"AmIOverreacting: my (35f) husband (36m) wants to open our marriage for his ai girlfriend and says it’s the next step in their relationship."

I don't know the percentages, but sure seems like a lot of the judges are just cookoo for coco puffs. I can understand the legal means to go after an EO, but they have zero power to reverse a congressional act. How do these people get their law degrees? Oh! I answered my own question - in a box of coco puffs apparently.

and yet they just keep ruling random shit, and people keep accepting it, curious

Trump says 25% tariffs coming for Japan and South Korea as trade war escalates again.

Except Canada. We folded like a wet noodle. We expect to have a deal signed soon, and then restructured soon thereafter at the whim of Trump. Also expect decreased social safety nets, subsidies for oil and gas, and reduced taxes on the rich. As if we have a business man in charge of the country who thinks that taking people off government support is like retrenching employees. The fired ones disappear and profits go up.

It’s stunning to think that Mark Carney had a front row seat for the austerity shit show put on by the UK and decided that that sounds like a fabulous idea.

Future teachers in Oklahoma!

This is the “Emergency Certified” Teacher Facebook group.

These people possibly have bachelor’s degrees, but in subjects completely unrelated to the subjects they will be teaching.

Common complaints are about the tests being too hard (they aren’t, you can memorize the questions on fucking quizlet).

My first year teaching I was pulled aside and told by my principal, “you actually have a degree in this, you’ll have to step in to help your team” - because the other science teachers were a Physical Education teacher and the schools secretary.

But no f-ggots allowed! Being a drag queen on the weekends disqualifies you to be a school principal now, no matter how good you were at it.

in reply to andros_rex

I am a relatively new teacher in Oklahoma. In my experience, the teachers I've worked with are a fairly mixed bag. There are absolutely amazing teachers working in Oklahoma that are knowledgeable and passionate about their content areas. I have also noticed a fair amount of teachers that are wildly under qualified or seem to only be in a classroom for the opportunity to take advantage of the system (frequently missing work, not actually teaching their students content, etc.) Oftentimes, though schools don't have many options because they simply need bodies to supervise the students. It is very heartbreaking.

"My first year teaching I was pulled aside and told by my principal, “you actually have a degree in this, you’ll have to step in to help your team” - because the other science teachers were a Physical Education teacher and the schools secretary."

I can relate to this. I'll be entering my 4th full-year teaching. In my short time working in education, I have become the most senior and qualified teacher for my subject and grade level. I do the bulk of the curriculum planning for my subject.

The politics injected into public education via State Superintendent Ryan Walters is absolutely disgusting.

_"No Evidence" of Epstein Blackmail Operation Not Surprising_

The more "it doesn't make sense," the more one should suspect behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

FTA: When institutions and powerful individuals operate for long periods without scrutiny, they may be tempted to commit such outrageously corrupt acts that disclosing them to the people becomes an insurmountably difficult task.

For years there has been a lot of consternation about the refusal of federal agencies such as the CIA and FBI to disclose what they know about Jeffrey Epstein (as well as about the assassination of JFK, the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the murder of Seth Rich, and countless other stories). Guys like me have also noticed how the U.S. government, including Congress, can’t ever quite seem to get to the bottom of the origin of SARS-CoV-2.

The truth of these stories carries incalculable liabilities—liabilities that would call into question whether the involved institutions should be allowed to continue existing.

Disclosing the truth could also instantly demolish the persistent naïveté that enables most people to maintain their allegiance to their governments and to believe the endless train of BS that we are told every day about everything.

I have experience with big liability cases. For a long time I investigated the mysterious deaths of Mary Mahoney on July 6, 1997 in Georgetown and Seth Rich on July 10, 2016 in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of D.C. The circumstances of both deaths strongly raise the suspicion of a political motive, but both were nevertheless chalked up to “botched robberies” by the Metropolitan Police.

Someone with power doesn’t want either death elucidated, and I was advised that pursuing my investigations would not only be frustrating and fruitless, but hazardous for my health.
