I agree, but all the components that go into Linux distributions need to be carefully monitored. They are not kept up to date, making systems vulnerable to malware and other threats.

Stop believing that you have any kind of privacy when you are online. Your resolution, your OS, your browser profile, your extensions, and many other things are fingerprinting you constantly.
If you believe otherwise, you just don't know what you are talking about.

You can unplug your computer and never use internet ever again or you can use software that respects your privacy, don’t access untrusted places and separate fragments of your digital life in pieces so you are harder to track. Fingerprinting is also avoidable, again here it comes the privacy respecting software.

And now, in the #UK, it seems that iCloud is no longer going to be safe as Apple will no longer offer advanced protection – thanks government! I currently use iCloud as a mirrored desktop, so it's on my Mac and laptop. I'm happy with the Mac and MacBook, but I'm not happy that iCloud is now going to be 'open’ to the UK government.
