@mos_8502 it's probably not profitable to keep them in production forever. I mean, there's a limited pool of buyers, and the maker needs to buy a bunch at once to keep prices low. So, it's smart to make exactly as much as you can sell in some short period of time, say six months. Gotta minimize inventory management costs, etc.
I don't really blame them. And, I mean, nobody is relying on these things for their livelihood. Governments aren't asking for two suppliers and an SLA.

It can be really weird, but it *will* let you breath. also as you get used to doing it without hurting your ears you can really get some deep cleaning done.

Last week a water heater exploded & flooded my apartment, & I'm still dealing with the clean up & repair - sitting here picking debris out of my stuff.
However, the most exciting part, is not having health insurance & it being a very old Boston building full of hundreds of years of unknown.
First thing, I cut my hand on an old rusty handle trying to turn the main water off, and was like, great.
Me to myself: this is not how you die.
I would presume you flushed the wound with some sort of disinfectant?
In case it keeps hurting more and more, head to the ER ideally before your hand looks like an inflated latex glove, if you catch my drift. Not to cry wolf, though time is essential in such cases.
