Don't miss the beauty in what Israel is doing in Syria, because it is going to have the same effect and the same result as its attack on Iran, only much worse, because Syria shares a border with occupied Palestine.

Israel has now made it clear that it is an enemy of the Syrian people - all of them, regardless of faith or ethnic group. It made an Israeli-friendly government in Syria an impossibility: it will be seen, rightly so, as an act of treason to be friendly with Israel.

This will have a very positive impact on creating a shared Syrian story and ethos, and rekindle the spirit of resistance.

On the military front, Israel now engages in active fighting over a huge piece of geography it has no soldiers to occupy or even monitor. And that's when, in neighboring Lebanon, things are close to boiling point.

Israel has created the perfect conditions for guerrilla warfare against its forces on the ground across many hundreds of kilometers of frontline, stretching from Ras a Nakura on the Mediterranean to the Syrian/Jordanian border.

Israel has chosen to do that at a time when its military is disintegrating, with a serious chunk of its ground forces effectively debilitated or too fatigued and afraid to engage in conflict, and Israeli society finding growing difficulty in just surviving.

Israel, led by Netanyahu, is invading Syria now because, as I have said many times in the past 20 months, they have no other option, psychologically and in terms of the driving narratives. They are being propelled forward by the sheer force of their psychopathy, fanaticism, and previous mistakes.

But the consequences are going to be devastating. Netanyahu will have to ask for American help in the war for the second time in months. Israel just doesn't have soldiers for these adventures, and thinning down further the forces stationed in Gaza will have terrible implications for the remaining IDF colonizer force there. They may have to retreat from parts of the Strip, under fire, while suffering heavy casualties.

And the Intifada that I'm anticipating in the West Bank and East Jerusalem is another catastrophe waiting to unfold.

Don't mistake the Syria campaign for a show of force. These are the last desperate palpitations of a dying body and ideology. Israel is digging its own grave as fast as its remaining energy allows.

Je pense à Mathis, 19 ans, cuit vivant dans du goudron à 200°. Je pense à l’horreur sans nom de sa mort. Je pense à ce frais et joli visage, fondu. À ce tout jeune corps réduit en bouillie noire pour un devis.

Je pense à ses hurlements. À son agonie terrifiante. Je pense à son camarade, blessé à son tour, qui a tenté, comme il a pu, de l’arracher aux griffes brûlantes du bitume.

Avant Mathis, j’ai pensé à Lorenzo. À Axel. À Lucas. Quinze ans. Seize ans. Dix-sept ans. Tous morts pendant leur stage en entreprise, pendant que leurs profs épuisés étaient « redéployés » pour surveiller des examens auxquels ces trois garçons ne se présenteront donc jamais.

Il faut bien occuper les enfants, n’est-ce pas ?
La mort au travail, écrabouillés comme de pauvres mouches, ça vous va comme projet pédagogique ?

Quelle magnifique "reconquête du mois de juin".
Enfin, on ne conquiert pas sans quelques petits morts au passage.

Leurs parents, eux, vont pouvoir retourner au boulot, continuer à s’y tuer à petit feu.

Je pense à ceux qui ont 16 ans, 22 ans, 35 ans, 61 ans. Je pense à ceux qui tombent sur les lignes de montage, au fond d’une cuisine, au bord d’un toit. À ceux qu’on enterre dans les statistiques. Je pense à tous ces morts au travail qu’on n’ose même plus compter. Parce qu’ils sont prévus.

Et pendant ce temps-là, nos élites calculent, redéploient, optimisent.
Elles savent, bien sûr qu’elles savent que d’autres mourront. Mais elles, elles n’y pensent pas. Ni avant, ni après.

Elles savent que d’autres Mathis seront carbonisés sur place. Elles savent que les vieux crèveront de chaud dans des EHPAD. Elles savent que les mères accoucheront dans des couloirs sans personnel. Elles savent que les profs tomberont en classe. Elles savent que les aides-soignantes pleureront aux toilettes. Elles savent que les livreurs s'effondreront sur le bitume qu’ils auront trop foulé.
Elles savent.
Mais elles n’y pensent pas.
Ni avant. Ni après.

Elles s’en foutent.

Parce que c’est prévu.
Parce que la combustion humaine est devenue un rouage de la machine.

Et nous, tous et toutes, nous cramerons comme Mathis dans nos appartements chauffés à blanc par un climat déréglé, maquillé en météo passagère.
Nous grillerons ans nos boulots absurdes, nos open spaces sans air, nos cuisines brûlantes et nos vies à crédit.

Nous grillerons à petit feu, cuits dans la marmite de l’avidité, du cynisme, de ce capitalisme en phase terminale qui continue à vendre des ventilateurs pendant que l’air devient irrespirable.

Je n’en peux plus de l’humanité.
