Not really. His base will excuse authoritarian power grabs, blatantly racist policies, sexual assault, etc but this one might be the one that breaks him. The Q-anon stuff was all about a bunch of elite politicians having secret pedophile rings. They thought Trump was sent by God to expose that. The phrase "Epstein didn't kill himself" is probably more unifying than any flag. Pam Bondi made a big deal about releasing the Epstein files. His base was frothing at the mouth to finally let the world know. With the administration's sudden course shift, even his supporters are wanting answers.

Evening Reflection: In just a few days, it will be BSD Cafe's second birthday. Two years ago, I never anticipated what would follow. What was once a dream - this kind of community - has transformed into a reality. I set the table, but the Cafe isn't just me; it's all of you.
It's the Fediverse, it's Matrix, it's a group of people who want to communicate, who want positivity, who want to grow, who have a passion and an interest. This morning, I announced the Journal, and the enthusiasm shown was comparable. And that, for me, was a gift.

Even though it's not yet Tuesday here, it already is in many places. While I might sound repetitive, I feel compelled to dedicate this #ThankYouTuesday to you all: friends of BSD Cafe (both in and outside the cafe), of the Fediverse, of Matrix, of every communication channel.
Because FREE communication channels are tools, and they are merely extensions of people.

Wonderful people, who make the world a little less bleak.

Just now I was reading a post by an "influencer" on a well-known social media platform. The post was biased, lacking in content, useless. Digital waste. A waste of bits and energy. Shortly after, I read a fantastic post written by a user of a #snac instance, and I know it's running on a Raspberry Pi, at their home.
And that phrase immediately came to mind.

#EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas announced Tuesday that the EU chose not to #sanction #Israel over its actions in #Gaza, following a meeting of EU foreign ministers. The best thing about this is that no matter what Trump does, what he does will hurt him. If he releases anything, he'll be accused of not releasing everything.

Trump has always managed to keep the conspiracy nuts looking at his enemies, but now he's tripped up. Once those people latch on to a perceived conspiracy, they never let go.

An now Trump has filed a lawsuit against Murdoch and his newspaper. This will not help Trump. Even if he wins, he loses. Winning this lawsuit will not stop the conspiracy theory. The lawsuit itself backs up the theory. It shows Trump is afraid of any reporting about Epstein.
