In a private message one of the devs admitted that they had to recode major parts of Photoshop for AI integration and had to roll it out prematurely because "management" wanted it immediatley, leading to an extremely buggy version. He also said that, because of the rush, all that AI shit is so deeply ingrained in the code it cannot be disabled.
