Hey #Firefox hackers! My credit card issuer, Chase, does something funky where its page won't load unless it's in the focused tab:

secure.chase.com/web/auth/dash…

I want to get it to load in the background instead.

Any ideas? I tried turning off all the lazy-load-enabled settings in about:config but that didn't work.

I get the same results in Chrome and Firefox: if you open that URL in a background tab it waits for you to switch to it, so it looks like something Chase is doing on purpose.

When it does render, the url is updated to secure.chase.com/web/auth/dash…

Chase appears to use the "hash" part of the URL as commands. If you try to load that full URL with the hash part then it does seem to render in a background tab just fine in Chrome and Firefox.

I have an announcement to make. A few weeks back someone posted about how white people don't have dreams with blacks in them. Last night I had blacks in my dream.

I was at home and my mother whom I haven't seen in around 15 years was there and she invited a bunch of blacks over for some reason. They were looking around at my things and a black women tried to steal one of my 9mm magazines and I shot her in the head. 😀

Police are treating graffiti stating that “men can’t be women” as a hate crime, The Telegraph understands.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is investigating after slogans were daubed around Stroud ahead of the town’s annual Pride march.

Police said the graffiti was “targeted towards transgender people” and the incident was being treated as a “hate crime”, but did not reveal what the slogans said.

The Telegraph understands that the slogans included statements such as “men can’t be women”. Others included “you can’t change sex”, “being female is not a costume”, and “trans women are men”, according to sources.

This year as I was thinking over how to educate children at the festival I thought why just rely on exhibitors, why not enlist their parents too to deliver the message? Teaching them means they can help their child AND learn something in the process.
