Finally, I wouldn't recommend Linux Mint for gaming for several reasons: First, I've seen reports that there are issues with Cinnamon with Proton and/or Wine having poor gaming performance...
...Second, the distro packages are really old, leading to some situations where the system may have reduced performance and some newer hardware not even being able to boot.
Third, I'm not a fan of the direction Linux Mint is heading. It feels like they're swimming against the GTK tide and Cinnamon has become a mismatch of GNOME apps, GNOME app forks, and header bars and menu bars.
Finally, I prefer KDE, so I cannot use Linux Mint. Personal preference of course.

Because I did four reports back in 2020-2023, when I was using Linux Mint Debian Edition. I only sent them in, because I was able to get games running using workarounds and wanted to share them.
I never made a report for Fedora, because everything worked since I use it.
The steam hardware survey (which should be more accurate) still shows a large portion of Ubuntu machines. Fedora isn't even listed there most of the time.
It's interesting to see what's popular on protondb and it matches other data (like a steadily growing Bazzite share which matches with their increased number of downloads within the last months).

The pendulum swinging analogy in politics is really crap.
First off, an actual pendulum does not swing interminably. It slows and stops.
Secondly and more importantly: there's nothing inhererent about public consciousness that necessitates a back and forth.
It "swings" in America because we have an entrenched two-party system in a pretend fight with each other, and yet it doesn't swing at all when it comes to oligarchic control of institutions and the increase in state power.
I don't understand why the pendulum analogy continues to be used. If [a lot of] people under 30 years old can't read an analog clock [let alone one with a visible swinging pendulum], under what circumstances would they even encounter a pendulum to know how it behaves? The idea that it would require some external power source to keep it swinging indefinitely would be even further off their radar.
Having said that, here in Canada we have a 2.5 party system which essentially results in a significant amount of "voting against the bad party" rather than "voting for the good party".

skaldic poetry was written from a third-person objective viewpoint, just like the song. they often contained a moral lesson at the end, such as how humility is often a desirable trait in a warrior, like "Oh, he might have went on livin' but he made one fatal slip When he tried to match the ranger with the big iron on his hip"
they tended to rely on poetic descriptors of weapons: loki's "wounding-wand" vs the ranger's "big iron."
they relied on something called kennings which were compound words, such as bow-gautr, meaning bow-warrior, functionally identical to gunslinger. poetic rather than literal descriptions of the person's role
skaldic poetry followed a specific 6 lines verse -> 3 lines chorus -> repeat pattern, which modern music does not follow, but the repetition rhythm of "big iron on his hip" matches very closely and shares the same mnemonic functions
