Panic swept through a California school after staff spotted what they believed was a mountain lion roaming near campus grounds. The school immediately went into lockdown. Authorities were alerted. Students were secured indoors. Wildlife officials prepared for a possible capture. But when the “wild predator” was finally cornered, everyone burst into laughter. It wasn’t a mountain lion at all, it was a very large, very fluffy house cat.

Yes, that’s right. The terrifying “beast” that sparked a full emergency response turned out to be a chonky feline with a serious attitude and a suspiciously wild look. In fairness to the school staff, the cat’s orange-brown fur, stocky build, and confident prowl did give off big cat energy. But once animal control arrived and got a better look, the case of the mountain lion was quickly closed with a purr.

I find it funny how age erodes reason. You'd think it would be the other way around, that children are aesthetics-oriented and adults are logical, but that's just not the case. As adults we have taste, and then that taste in aesthetics heavily influences everything even logic faculties. I asked "but why" and "why not" a lot more as a child than I do as an adult; I'd like to fix that. I don't want to be an obstinate old geezer.

I am not sure it is just a youth versus age thing. The amount of even clever people, even here, capable of subjecting their own assumptions to the same scrutiny to which they hold others is quite small, and I think some people are ill suited for the cognitive load to handle that anyway

"Democrats are already suggesting Republicans may have poisoned the well and are countering by playing hardball. One particular demand they’re making as a condition of engagement: a costly extension of expanded tax credits for Affordable Care Act insurance premiums that are set to expire at the end of the year."

That's a nice example if also a part of the indictment. Healthcare should be a right--and their crappy insurance probably won't help prevent bankruptcy let alone worsening mental health, if they face a crisis. It's measly and overall, we're the only industrialized nation where people go bankrupt and families destroyed while we spend more than anyone else in the world. So--Medicare-for-All is a WINNING way to go to get Dems elected PRECISELY because of that example and MILLIONS more.

I give credit where credit is due regarding the fact that focus on careers creates fewer children (though not explicitly stating it is more a problem with women), as well as pushing against the idea that "we should have policies like the Scandinavian countries" as a solution to birth rate issues when those countries are also below replacement rates.

No solutions beyond "changing the culture," but we all know why that is the case.

Hydrogen fuel cells are enabling extended flight durations drones. Unlike traditional lithium battery-powered drones, hydrogen-fueled counterparts offer superior energy density, allowing them to stay airborne for hours rather than minutes.

@DBG3D again what exactly are you suggesting here, stop all technological progress or what exactly?

It's also pretty clear that China is putting these advances towards civilian use. Perhaps being a European it's hard for you to imagine that a nation can develop peacefully. Certainly not something Europe has ever been capable of doing. So I can see why you'd be projecting here being a product of western civilization.

Construction worker doing maintenance on the headquarters where I work.

Broken English, excited to make contact with me. Busted by ICE in California last month and quickly deported. Failed a US visa interview three years ago and paid to slip into California from Mexico.

"Trump. Trump, he ICE deport me." Big smile.
I laughed, "So you hate Trump now?"
"NO! Trump catch me, I go, it's ok!"

He's from my wife's hometown province, what a strangely fun encounter.

The reason why Conspiracy Theorists have been ceaselessly defamed in recent decades is because Jews inherently work via conspiracy, cunning, and violence. That's their mode of operation, and if you sniff in that direction they perceive you as a threat to their satanic schemes. Of course, detective work can go down countless false paths, that's one advantage of operating in the dark. But among millions of seekers connected online, the truth does not remain obscured for long.

If there was a religion that worshipped Satan, they would not portray themselves as Satanists. They would use all the lies, cunning, murder, and violence of their Master to achieve dominion over others, while enshrining themselves as untouchable victims. They would be contrary to all humanity, impervious to common morals, and great sponsors of wars, death, and destruction. They would be fiercely anti-Christian, and seek the perpetual discredit and defamation of the Christian Church. Any guesses?
