On Tuesday most of my @duck.com email addresses stopped working.
I've just been told that if @duck.com tried to forward one email to you, and it can't deliver it, then it will stop forwarding every other email address you have in your account!
One failure.
So I'm guessing that while all the various docker containers for my hosted Mailcow install were being upgraded and restarted one fucking email came-in to my domain from @duck.com and it was bounced for whatever reason.
And now I'm sitting here looking at 100+ unique email addresses, most of which are used as authentication credentials for logging-in to websites and services, that I now need to figure out how to change.
Wow. Retrying mail delivery has been standard practice for at least four decades, and DDG didn't know it somehow? (Or, someone made a mistake and they're in the process of fixing it. That's possible.)
I have learned to be suspicious of free services ... because in general, there's no recourse if they are ruined like that. You aren't the customer, you're the product.

"My colleagues, whom I spoke to yesterday, are despairing, angry, sad, exhausted, because they themselves are starving. This is a disaster of a kind rarely seen." says Chatterjee-Martinsen (in my translation), going on "When the IPC goes out and says worldwide that there is a starvation catastrophe of rare proportions, it is usually already too late, because they are very conservative in their assessments."
Chatterjee-Martinsen as many (all I've seen) aid orgs and experts see the few airdrops of aid [todon.eu/@b9AcE/11492602079673…] so far as symbolic, ineffective and risky as they do not reach those in most need and risk injuring or killing people on impact.

The indiscriminate parachute airdrops by Israel of basic aid, for those it as occupying power is REQUIRED by the "laws of war" to provide decent conditions for, are not a good development. They WILL lead to the stronger and more armed becoming even stronger and those in most need getting the least, as the strongest will grab the resources while hindering the rest. Especially, as has been done, they drop the aid far out at sea. Those airdrops may be even worse than the previous situation.
What needs to be done is to open completely for humanitarian aid at such a huge influx, with unhindered aid workers to distribute it so widely, that there will be no reason for the desperate being starved to death by Israel to fight over what gets in.
It is also extremely important that the aid be distributed by experts as when people have been starved for a long time food itself can become directly deadly through something called "refeeding syndrome" (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refeedin…).

Je connais Gimp et j'ai longuement essayé mais c'est vraiment pas fun de dessiner dessus hélas haha ! Je continue de me renseigner, mais c'est le souci d'être indépendant tout en dépendant de son matos, j'ai pas trop le temps/les moyens d'apprendre à refaire intégralement tout mon système de travail en me précarisant au passage. 🫠 Mais je cherche les solutions et merci pour les recos!

Luxury villas, agrotourism projects, and second homes are expanding deep into fire-prone zones, with full state support. The wildland–urban interface becomes a zone of engineered vulnerability. Human intervention turns natural events into a social disaster.
Meanwhile, crisis response is deeply unequal. Wealthier residents evacuate with ease. Migrant workers without documents, elderly people in remote villages, animals are all left exposed. Crisis management mirrors social hierarchy.
The narrative of “sustainable development” is misleading. Agrotourism brings roads, electricity, and dense construction into forested areas. These aren’t neutral interventions, they amplify fire risk and erode ecological resilience. Even water is managed along class lines. As reservoirs run dry, developments like Souni still boast private pools. Environmental crisis becomes a tool of exclusion.
