Η απόφαση για ένταξη στο SAFE ανοίγει ένα νέο κεφάλαιο – όχι αναγκαστικά θετικό – για την ελληνική αμυντική πολιτική. Το εργαλείο δεν παρέχει επιχορηγήσεις αλλά δάνεια, και μάλιστα για εξοπλισμούς.
