Good morning to readers; #Kyiv remains in #Ukrainian hands.

With Washington’s back and forth on #military aid to #Ukraine, one of the few sources of U.S.-Ukrainian partnership that Ukraine can rely on is beer.

Veronika visited #U.S. brewers that are adapting Ukrainian beer recipes.

IRS head says free Direct File tax service is 'gone'

How often have you heard it?
“This space isn’t political.”
“We’re just here to help people.”
“Let’s keep it neutral.”

Here’s the truth:
There is no such thing as a neutral space under white supremacy.

When people say “neutral,” what they usually mean is:
✅ Comfortable for white people
✅ Familiar to dominant culture
✅ Avoids discomfort, accountability, or truth-telling

in reply to Kim Crayton ~ Her/She

But “neutral” becomes complicit when:
– Harm is allowed but naming that harm is seen as disruptive
– Inclusion is performative, but power never shifts
– We’re told to “read the room,” but the room was never built for us

Antiracist practice means we stop pretending neutrality is possible, and start asking:
Who is protected by silence?
Who is erased by it?

In our upcoming Facilitated Conversations, we name the dynamics most spaces avoid:

📚 How whiteness and white womanhood are centered as default
📚 How “objectivity” is used to silence emotion and lived experience
📚 How power hoards itself under the guise of professionalism or politeness

This is training for those who are ready to stop walking on eggshells and start walking in alignment.

In 2016, Joe Tippens was facing a devastating diagnosis: terminal small-cell lung cancer with just months to live.

With conventional treatments offering no hope, he took a bold and unconventional route that stunned both doctors and patients alike. Tippens began taking fenbendazole, a common dog dewormer, along with Theracurmin (a potent form of turmeric) and CBD oil.

Within just three months, PET scans revealed no detectable cancer in his body. While no one can say definitively that this combination cured him, his recovery sparked viral attention and interest in a possible link between anti-parasitic drugs and cancer remission.

Fenbendazole is part of the benzimidazole class, which also includes ivermectin and mebendazole, all low-cost, widely available medications usually used to treat parasites.

Lab studies suggest these drugs may interfere with cancer cell functions, such as energy production and division. Though mostly anecdotal, some integrative doctors are cautiously exploring these drugs as part of experimental protocols in tough cases.

Tippens's case is not proof of a cure, but it highlights an area of cancer research that is gaining momentum. Scientists are now taking a closer look at these overlooked medications that might hold unexpected promise for the future of cancer treatment.

#Carney should just tell #Trump to fuck-off.
Seriously.
#Canada should tell the #UnitedStates that "this relationship" isn't working out for them.
Close the border.
Go on National Television and proclaim to the world that Trump's actions are not those of a rational man with all of his faculties.
That Trump is acting impulsively and like someone with #dementia that's lashing out.
Treat us (#US) like fucking #NorthKorea.
Trump is a bully.
And there's nothing more that bullies hate than to be #ignored.
You want to see the #tariffs to be eliminated?
Tell Trump to fuck off.
Refuse to fucking #negotiate with us.

This is really interesting. I'm surprised to see Turkey so high, and also a little surprised that Canada is slightly lower than the US. It goes a little ways to explaining Cuba's progressive laws as of late, too; although they weren't polled, I imagine they would be similar to the rest of Latin America.

it's a shame that gaming is finally starting to trend in an upwards direction again right as we have all this payment processor bullshit going on to stifle it.

anyway this game looks awesome, hopefully it actually is and it isn't dragged down by some stupid shit.

Running Deepseek R1 671b fully locally on a $2000 EPYC server. Idle wattage is just 60w while with 260w under load.

This setup runs a 671B model in Q4 quantization at 3-4 TPS, running a Q8 would need something beefier. To run a 671B model in the original Q8 at 6-8 TPS you'd need a dual socket EPYC server motherboard with 768GB of RAM.

The idea that LLMs use an inordinate amount of power to run is very much outdated at this point.

"As the organized Left gained cultural power, it turned into a monster that found perpetual victimhood, combined with thought and speech control, the most efficient way to hold on to that power. Suddenly it was the Left, the protector of liberty, that was setting rules about what could and could not be said or even thought."

"Let me get this straight. For the past quarter-century or more, the central government has been stealing hundreds of billions of dollars each year from competent, hard-working, successful people and giving it to incompetent, lazy failures. As a result, middle-class America has increasingly been impoverished while the poor are even poorer. Now come calls for reforming the system, and liberals are denouncing reformers in the vilest language. What planet did you say…

“But you can start immediately to eliminate the barely educated, unhealthy and poor segment of our country. No, I'm, not advocating some, sort of mass extinction of these unfortunate people. Crime, drugs and disease are already doing that. The problem is that their numbers are not only replaced but increased by the birth of millions of babies to people who can't afford to have babies. There, I've said it. It's what we all know is true, but we only whisper it, because…
