But there is not a loophole in the 22nd Amendment for that. He was elected twice. He is not eligible to be elected again, even if people interfered illegally with his first term.
Technically, he won three elections. One could argue that he's already in violation of the 22nd Amendment. But if they want to prosecute him for that, they have to admit they certified fraudulent results and inaugurated the wrong person.

I'm not a fan of ID cards but with some provisos they could be better than a phone app. 1. They are issued free, unlike phones 2. There is no need for one big centralised database, though govt and Palentir would probably insist on one. They could be issued at local govt offices where you appear in person to be verified.
@pthane I think a lot of countries have these since longtime - like Germany. But they are not issued for free, btw., and much to my chagrin they started to include fingerprints and other not so safe features. The old ID cards were quite ok and accepted everywhere (although nothing is without problems). Germany has also big databases since ever - like, you are required to register where you live and this is easily researchable. @ChrisMayLA6

Officially recognizing the State of #Palestine , as some Western countries now promise to do, will not do anything against the #genocide in #Gaza and the rest of Palestine. But it would be still important as the symbolical recognition of the Palestinians right to decide over their own lives. And - I wonder if I am right - it would help all Palestinians living somewhere in the world to get their Palestinians passports accepted and no longer be considered as stateless. Or am I wrong here?
