Right, itโs time we started an initiative to find and call out (with receipts) accounts on the fediverse engaged in genocide denial and genocide apologism in support of Israelโs ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people.
There are accounts (and even whole instances, it would seem) that are engaged in this and, further, attempts to silence the voices, not to mention threaten the livelihoods of, those of us speaking out against Israelโs genocide of the Palestinian people and attempting to help Palestinians in Gaza who are being starved, shot, bombed, and burned to death by Israel as we speak.
I read that exchange and blocked, the posting style is very similar to the folks over at babka who tried to get me fired for anti-Semitism by contacting the university I work for. The reason? I said that Palestinians are human beings. That's it.

The combination of this framing and previously-mentioned โfolks that explore this by choice vs. having it thrust upon themโ is _very_ clarifying. Iโve had generally positive centaur-shaped experiences augmenting my side project development with LLMs. Being forced to use e.g. Copilot (which isnโt even good) with the metrics-driven expectation of higher output would make me deeply resentful.
the sad part is that the "centaurs" aren't being assisted by just machines, they're being assisted by machines supported by reverse-centaurs. All the people tasked with cleaning datasets, and all the artists whose work was (and is) stolen to train the machines are the human price of the centaurs' fun experience. And it's not *necessary* to train generative systems thus way, it's just *cheap* and *fast*.
