Also to remember that IDF kidnapped 14 palestinians from the same village after the murder of the palestinian activist, they are now held in "administrative detention" like thousands of others with no charge or access to lawyer.

We really don't know the extent of Gaza #genocide since there is no government in #Gaza to register the dead or missing any more.

Only when Israeli occupation ends, we will be able to find out the real number of people murdered by #Israel in the past 21 months, and the number is much much larger than the official (verified) 60000.

Will that change the minds of the world about the evil that exist in psyche of the people in Israel who justify and defend this?

Appreciate the cute yelling dog of the Buddhist temple. She's not all that devoted to buddhism but she makes for a great introduction to the temple when she shouts good morning. A bit simple minded however it makes her all the cuter.

Of course her greatest fun is in being a part of her punk band with Mystia. Quite strange how those two became friends. I'm sure the head of the temple is still quite annoyed at Kyouko's tendencies towards music. Still these kinds of simple thoughts are what makes her so cute.

As far as I know, there is no link between CO2 (or O2) levels and airborne viral load. If you are indoors and want to protect yourself from Covid (etc), don't make a decision to mask (or not) based on what your CO2 meter says — just mask up!

Or, in other words, don't avoid putting on a mask based on what your CO2 meter says. It might give you a false sense of reassurance!

@foufoutos έχω εδώ ένα ζευγάρι, αυτός 20 αυτή 18. Τους έδωσα ένα δωμάτιο για τη σεζόν σε τιμή που να μπορούν να πληρώσουν με τη δουλειά που βρήκαν στο πενταστερο πιο πέρα. Σερβιτόροι και οι δύο. Ήρθαν στην αρχή όλο χαρά και καμάρι που θα δούλευαν εκεί (νόμιζαν ότι θα συνδυάσουν δουλειά και διακοπές) και μέσα σε ένα μήνα, είναι για λυπηση. Από τις 8 ως τις 6-7 το απόγευμα δουλειά και μετά μόνο ύπνο. Έχω δει πολλά τέτοια παιδιά

από τότε που προσελαβα υπάλληλο, όλοι αναρωτιούνται γιατί την πληρώνω, όταν δεν έχει δουλειά! Δλδ θεωρούν ότι ο εργαζόμενος με σύμβαση είναι κάτι σαν συνέταιρος, αλλά μόνο στις αναδουλειες.
Συνήθης πρακτική, για τους μήνες που δεν υπάρχει πληρότητα, η εκ περιτροπής απασχόληση και αμοιβή. Ε, κι αν πλακώσει δουλειά, θα πάρουν το μισθό ολόκληρο αλλά μέχρι εκεί. Για τις έξτρα ώρες, ποντάρουν στην ανάγκη του άλλου για μεροκάματο, που τί θα βρει στο τελείωμα της σεζόν;

@DoctorG_1, gendern ist auch in Spanien ei Thema mit einigen durchaus absurden und lustigen Auswüchsen wo es einem grammatikalisch und phonetisch den Magen umdreht.

Persöhnlich ist es mir Wurscht, ich halte mich an die althergebrachte Grammatik, weil ich finde, das Gleichberechtigung nicht von Wörtern abhängt, sondern vom Verhalten der Personen., nicht von was man sagt, sondern wie man es sagt.

Wir müssen erstmal lernen die Person als solche zu wertschätzen, nicht nachdem was sie zwischen den Beinen hat oder welche sexuellen Vorzüge (mit Grenzen, siehe Trumpel), erst dann sind wir bereit an der Sprache herumzuschrauben ohne das Wörterbuch als Fussball zu benutzen.

Die Sprache evolutioniert immer, aber sollte unter den richtigen Voraussetzungen vonstatten gehen. Verbieten ist natürlich keine Lösung, aber Erziehung in den richtigen Themen.

Die Leute sollten erstmal richtig Deutsch lernen und ihren Wortschatz vergrössern. Mir haben dabei Torsten Sträter und Jürgen von der Lippe sehr geholfen um den Reichtum und Eleganz der deutschen Sprache schätzen zu lernen (zum Preis von Seitenstechen vor Lachen)

It's clear that Congress is committed to gutting renewables funding & propping up fossil fuels

YET there are some outcomes that illustrate a tiny bit of restraint and responsiveness--like when the Senate considered *taxing* renewables, which quickly got shut down.

So my question is: What is working? Does anyone have insights into what types of #Advocacy actions have impact in this political climate?

The MAGA mindset comes to people who become contrarian. They accept the first narrative that counters the established narrative. Maybe the MAGA movement has gained so much acceptance that she is now finding left-wing views more contrarian than her old views. Maybe this is copium? Guess we'll see.
