Palestinian resistance factions issued condemnations following the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by extremist minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who led over three thousand settlers in a provocative incursion under heavy guard by occupation forces. Hamas characterized the mass storming as an “escalating crime” and a deliberate provocation against Muslims worldwide. The movement noted that the incursion, timed for a Jewish holiday, was preceded by the emptying of the mosque of its Muslim worshippers. Hamas stated that the zionist government’s simultaneous genocide and its terror in the West Bank “pours oil on the fire in the region.” It warned that this criminal behavior threatens regional and international peace and security, demanding a serious response from the UN to hold the extremist government accountable.

The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that their drone unit had carried out three precision military operations targeting sites belonging to the occupation, using three unmanned aerial vehicles.

Regarding the statements of the Authority President on conditional general elections
In light of the catastrophic circumstances facing the Palestinian cause, where our people are subjected to the most heinous campaigns of genocide, ethnic cleansing, siege, and displacement in Gaza, Al-Quds, and the West Bank, the President of the Palestinian Authority issues dangerous statements, declaring his readiness to hold general elections in which those who oppose international dictates and conditions will not participate.
We, the Palestinian resistance factions, affirm that these statements express an exclusionary and individualistic mindset, detached from the reality of our people and their sacrifices. They seek to impose political realities isolated from national consensus, at a critical historical moment that demands unity and prioritizing national interest over narrow calculations.
The utmost priority for our Palestinian people today is not formal elections, but rather stopping the zionist aggression, lifting the siege, thwarting displacement and eradication plans, and defending our land, holy sites, and national rights.
We also affirm that the statements of the Authority President represent a serious transgression of the national agreements reached in the Cairo and Beijing meetings, and all dialogue stations held under Arab and international patronage, and constitute a setback for the path of reconciliation and rebuilding the Palestinian national project on the basis of partnership.
Imposing preconditions on the electoral process, especially regarding the PLO program and its international entitlements, is an entrenchment of the approach of individualism, exclusion, and division, and serves only the malicious goals of the zionist occupation, which seeks to fragment Palestinian society and tear apart its national fabric.
We reiterate our firm rejection of any preconditions imposed on the electoral process and our warning against using elections as a tool to exclude broad national forces and activities, under politically unacceptable popular pretexts.
