Just finished watching The Garden of Sinners E1 Overlooking View. The plot was confusing at first, but then I understood at the end. They look at raw numbers and say things like, "it's only 30,000" homes that are no longer rental properties, just build new ones!"
Which is bollocks anyway. But the other thing they ignore is the quality of housing. These are usually the most livable homes that end up in the hands of AirBnB. Homes that people can no longer buy to live in, or rent. It pushes up the price of everything else in the market. Even shitty homes are pushed out of reach. We end up paying more and still don't have access to something half decent.
