I've been lurking on Nostr for ~2 years. I've never been a social media guy. Literally only ever posted 1 thing on facebook. I enjoyed Bitcoin Twitter for a while, but only passively. And honestly, I don't enjoy it anymore, nostr is much more fun these days.

A Palestinian activist, journalist and community leader has been shot and killed in front of a community centre in a village near Hebron, in occupied West Bank - a village which was documented in the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land.
This was the straw that broke the camel's back and had decide to display this movie on my PeerTube channel.
This, and also the fact that when checking on the internet where the movie, that won 2 distinguished awards in Berlin and LA, as best documentary movie was quasi not shown in any theater all over Europe.
In Paris, my home town, it has been displayed for a couple of weeks, in a 2 rooms theater of 60 seats.
It deserves to be advertised.

Abraham described Awdah as “a remarkable activist who helped us film No Other Land in Masafer Yatta”, while Adra said on social media: “My dear friend Awdah was slaughtered this evening. He was standing in front of the community centre in his village when a settler fired a bullet that pierced his chest and took his life. This is how Israel erases us – one life at a time.”
Israel's military said an armed Israeli civilian opened fire at a group of Palestinians after they threw rocks. Israeli police responded to the incident, but no charges have been filed against Yinon Levi.

Been keeping an eye on the #WordCampUS 2025 ticket report. With a month to go, they've sold just over 500. Add the 126 comped tickets for volunteers, speakers, sponsors, etc., and we're at ~650 attendees.

That link could have wiped out my retirement. With the fraud safety government offices closed, this is going to be one of many attempts to remove our last strings of survival...
