The advent of Bambulabs and Ender 3 printers has been such a disaster for 3d printer discourse, though at least the original Ender 3's got lots of competent people into the hobby too.

Especially in the 'middle' range for filament types. Plenty of decent info for plain PLA, but then there's endless superstition and meaningless shit for CF/GF filaments, PETG and ABS/ASA.

Gets slightly better with ASA since the retards are usually too scared to try it, and then everything fancier than that, the discourse is again decent since at that point the retards who just want to make disposable PLA trinkets have been almost entirely filtered out.

The superstition that's irking me now is "PETG likes to print slow", it makes no sense at all.

Incidentally, the new brakes are very solid. The front I can only really feather and feel and use about 25% because the bizarro headstock on this bike can't really take anything approaching full use.

Before I replaced them, the old brakes were maybe 10% in the front and 5% in the back. I was getting good at timing when to let off and roll to a stop. In traffic anyhow. But now I can decide when and where the bike stops.

These were $50 CAD.

For anyone looking for a new braking system and are concerned about running tubes and burping lines, these are hydraulic at the brake with the lever using the existing mechanical cable. They are noticeably hydraulic in their pinch strength. The body from billet does most of the heavy lifting, providing a sturdy chamber to optimally use the small amount of mineral oil.

If these rupture, I can buy 3 more sets before I'm spending what a legit system will accomplish.

La “loi Duplomb”, censée “lever les contraintes à l'exercice du métier d'agriculteur”, fortement décriée, a été partiellement retoquée par le Conseil constitutionnel.
Est-ce une défaite pour l’agro-industrie ? Pas entièrement. Les millions de signataires de la pétition historique ont-ils été entendus ? Non plus. La bataille politique est loin d’être terminée. Et les paysans sonnent l’alerte. On vous récap tout ça.

Sous la pression de la FNSEA - qui avait installé ses barbecues devant les grilles du palais Bourbon - la loi vise à réintroduire un insecticide ou encore de “faciliter” des procédures qui visent à protéger l’environnement notamment autour de l’élevage industriel ou des mégabassines.

Le Conseil Constitutionnel a censuré ce jeudi 7 août la réintroduction de l'acétamipride, un néonicotinoïde connu pour sa toxicité, au nom du principe de précaution et de la charte de l’environnement ; après 3 saisines des parlementaires de gauche.

La Confédération paysanne note une victoire en demi-teinte.

Le retour du pesticide est donc censuré, mais le reste du texte, et sa défense du modèle agricole libéral sont maintenus.
Car rappelons le, ces mesures pour “lever les contraintes à l'exercice du métier d'agriculteur” sont la voix de la FNSEA. Le monde agricole est loin d’être uni sur ce sujet.

Pour la FNSEA, la censure du texte est un échec. C’est un "choc", "inacceptable et incompréhensible" clame le syndicat agricole qui demandait le retour de ce pesticide pour protéger des filières agricoles "en danger". Mais la FNSEA est satisfaite pour d’autres dispositions.

Franceinfo parle d’un “camouflet pour le gouvernement”. L’exécutif aurait pu porter lui même ce texte, mais il a préféré laisser faire les parlementaires.
Et toujours pour éviter d’assumer les mesures, Emmanuel Macron se cache ensuite derrière le Conseil Constitutionnel.

L’article 5 de la loi prévoit que certains ouvrages de stockage d’eau et les prélèvements sur les eaux associés sont présumés d’intérêt général majeur. Et cela permet des dérogations aux objectifs de qualité et de quantité des eaux.
Le Conseil n’a pas censuré mais a émis 2 réserves.

La vraie question ici c’est, est-ce que c’est vraiment l’interdiction d’un pesticide, ou les réglementations pour pomper dans les nappes phréatiques, qui empêchent les agriculteurs de vivre de leur travail ? On assiste donc une nouvelle fois à une bataille entre 2 visions du modèle agricole : d’un côté la FNSEA (aidée par la droite et l’extrême droite) avance que si on n’assouplit pas les règles, il y aura moins de rendement ; et de l’autre (la gauche et la confédération paysanne) qui veut changer de modèle : cela ne passe pas par assouplir les normes mais par un modèle moins libéral.

Après des manifestations de paysans, des oppositions et recours de la gauche, mais aussi cette pétition historique qui a dépassé les 2 millions de signatures ou encore la mobilisation de scientifiques qui demandent le retrait de la loi ; le gouvernement et ses alliés sont hermétiques au débat sur la fameuse “compétitivité” qui emmène les agriculteurs droit dans le mur.

Comme d’habitude, nos questions ne plaisent pas. Et surtout, elles dérangent. Pourquoi remettre en cause le modèle global quand il bénéficie aux géants de l’agro industrie ?

How bad with Linux MSI is nowadays?

Browsing for some hardware to assemble a new system, nn AMD MSI motherboard caught my attention.

Checking the motherboard compatibility list got me really miffed, as updating BIOS is apparently impossible if not on Window$ and all supported CPUs with integrated graphics require later updates.

MSI was the first brand where I ran Linux, on a Megabook. It installed smoothly, ran flawlessly and even improved battery life and hardware output above what the competition achieved.

Looks like those times are past.

Damals hätte man sich jeder Bürgerrechtsbewegung angeschlossen, für die richtige Sache demonstriert, Anne Frank versteckt und ohne Scham oder Zweifel seine Meinung der Welt präsentiert.

Im Nachhinein ist man immer schlauer, aus den Lehren der Geschichten sehen wir die kurzen Beine der Lügen, und deckten jede einzelne von ihnen auf. Das Problem ist nur das wir keine Held:innen für die Geschichte brauchen, denn diese ist ja längst geschrieben, sondern wir brauchen sie heute!

Aber heute ist ja alles so kompliziert...

Ob es ein Genozid ist weiß man ja nicht wirklich, und laut Statistiken sind die da ja wirklich krimineller, so viele Leute die das Wählen können ja kein Unrecht haben, ach über solche Dinge will Ich mit Freunden oder Familie nicht sprechen, das sorgt nur immer für Stress, und meine Sprache jetzt auch noch anzupassen nur weil ein paar Leute sich beleidigt fühlen würden, ernsthaft?


Wir vergessen das damals wie heute Dinge nicht einfach unbegründet geschahen, es wurde sich immer eine Lüge ausgedacht warum Schrecken geschehen „müssen”. Die zu unterdrückende Gruppe an Menschen wird falsch und oftmals kriminell dargestellt, sodass dessen Unterdrückung als Gerechtigkeit, Gesetz und Ordnung sich präsentiert. So wird die Debatte verschoben und tatsächliche Verteidiger:innen von Menschenrechte werden als solidarisch mit den bösen Kriminellen gleichgesetzt. Das Thema Menschenrechte wird immer ein unangenehmes sein, weil auch diejenigen Rechte haben, welche gerade keine haben sollen. Doch kein Staat wird sagen das sie jemanden die Menschenrechte absprechen, sondern um diesen Fakt herumtanzen.

  • Wir leugnen einen Genozid, da uns die Medien sagen alles andere wäre Antisemitismus.
  • Wir tolerieren die Faschisten, weil alles andere gegen unsere Demokratie sprechen würde.
  • Wir hassen Migrant:innen, denn deren Marginalisierung sorgt für unsere Sicherheit.

Nach Aufdeckung der Lügen, bleibt nur noch der erste Teil des Satzes stehen, und alle Fragen sich im Nachhinein, warum jeder mitgemacht hat. Wirst du Held:in der Geschichte?
